During the debate last night, John "Cotton Hill" McCain said that he would lift the ban on Sugar cane to use for bio-fuels. Now there is a reason that we have these bans, that is because two of the countries that have the most sugar cane don't like us, and we don't like them. We have heard Cotton Hill say that he would never talk to leader like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, with out any pre conditions. Yet, Cotton wants to start up trade with one country that is communist, and another that funds terrorist, and he called Cotton's good friend George W. Bush "the Devil". Would you rather talk to world leaders with no pre conditions, or would you make trade agreements with countries that that support terrorist, and communisim? What do you think about this?

Good point Great Debater, that is an issue that should be mentioned in the national media so McCain supporters and the American public can see who is showing a great deal of naivete and lack of rational judgment. By the way, what is "Cotton Hill"?

He's making fun of McCain by comparing him with a cartoon character off of King of the Hill. Which I assume would make it okay to refer to his candidate of choice as Weird Harold.

Irish, Actually I said that he looked like Abe Simpson, but Taskr mentioned Cotton Hill, and I agreed that he did look alot more like Cotton Hill. If you bring up his wikipedia page you will see the simularities. I have never heard of the cartoon you were talking about, but if he looks like him, than that is fine with me. I just figured that Taskr would respond first.

Not a problem. I do think it is kind of funny. Weird Harold was a character on the Cosby Kids cartoon.

I caught it too. And i am surprised that the Obama campaign hasn't said anything about it. In essence isn't lifting the sugar ban supporting terrorism? Another issue that McCain makes no sense on. I can't wait until November when this is all over.

I agree with you 100%, and I have no idea why no one has brought this up. I was shocked when I heard him say it, and I wonder if anyone on either side heard him. Thanks for the response.

Good job in pointing this out, Debater! I caught it but then it kind of slipped my mind. Of course, it hasn't been covered by the media because they're too busy talking about Joe the Plumber and playing clips of McCain and Palin calling Obama and Biden socialists and saying how some of us don't live in the "real" America. Somebody doesn't have their priorities in order and I don't think it's us! Annie
