What if teh world actually was flat as was thought in the past?

It would be interesting if the world actually was a flat round peace of land and water and not a globe as it is at present. Just imagine the possibilities if it was actually flat. What all could happen? Would there be life on the resverse, would people fall off the edge? What would be the thicknes of the crust? would you be able to bore a hole across to the other side?

If the world is flat then a number of us would have fallen to the universe. Then we will all be gone and there will be no problem with population control.

back in the day when the greatest minds thought that the world was flat, did they not look in the sky at the sun or moon and go " hang on, how come thier round and we're not". you'd think they would of figured it out.
