I have heard alot of negative things about coffee but I was on the american heart association's official website and this is what I learned:
In a large study of women and caffeine, researchers found that the blood pressure readings of those who consumed little caffeine or a lot of caffeine were unaffected.
Although caffeine may increase blood pressure temporarily, especially in people who are not habitual coffee or caffeinated-beverage drinkers, researchers have found no consistent evidence that average caffeine consumption (2-4 cups of brewed coffee per day) increases blood pressure to any significant degree for people who do not already have high blood pressure. The American Heart Association has concluded that there is no harm in the daily consumption of 1-2 cups of coffee or its equivalent.
Several studies show that coffee in moderation can actually have health benefits. I dont believe everything that I read but I do trust what i learn form the American heart Association.
What are yuor thoughts on this subject?

I heard that as well. I also heard that it was supposed to prevent some types of cancer. Personally, I do not fall into the 1-2 cups per day scenario, I'm more like 1-2 POTS per day. Which probably significantly increases my blood pressure. :) I'd hate to see it without my coffee if it does, as I fall into the "normal to low" blood pressure range.
As a matter of fact, I'm drinking it right now. Well on the way to an ulcer am I. :p

Not sure how much truth there is to it, but you know the scientific world, they change their minds 20 times a day. :)

I cut back on my coffee from 10-12 cups per day to 1/2 cup every 2-3 hours...
and my blood pressure was still climbing at an alarming rate. I now get a
little more exercise, and take a OTC water pill with potassium to balance
it. My blood pressure is going down.
