There's a lot of band and sub-genre of metal music. If you choose heavy metal I suggest you listen to Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth and those band that still here from the metal movement in the 80's. The new generation has all kind of mixed metal genre in it like Nu-Metal bands like Korn,Slipknot, Speed metal like Helloween, Symphonic Metal like Nightwish, Gothic Metal bands like Paradise Lost, Sentenced and many more kinds of metal to choose from.
