Do You Think Long Distance Relationship Works?

I had two long distance relationships and none of it worked. I always end left behind because they prefer someone they can be with in the flesh. The 1st broke me into pieces as he is the father of my kids. The 2nd one, well, somehow it broke me a little but if it makes him happy, who am I to stop him.

i really think anything works as long as you give time to nurture it. it is hard to love someone you can see, how much more when you don't. i guess when you start a long distance relationship and you want it to work, one of you must sacrifice just to be with the other. in order to make things the way you want it to, you must learn to make some sacrifices because that in turn would make you feel happier.=D

I can agree with you marshie! But two heartaches is enough for me. I think I want someone near me this time. I want to experience life with that person together now, this time I want different things. I guess it works for some and it doesn't work for me. Or they were not really mine in the first place. there time with me has an expiration date. I hope the next one won't have because I'd be expired by then. hahahaha

Yes it works if you and your partner want it to work. I met my wife over the internet. We are from different countries. We started with exchanging visits to our blogs and then we went further by exchanging comments. After awhile, we moved on to YM and not long after that we were seeing each other over the video camera on our computers. Then, we decided that we should meet up in person and we save some money so that we could travel and visit each other and we did that for almost 2 years and finally we calculated and figured out that it would be cheaper if we were to get married and stay in one country. We got married in 2006 and she is now with me in my country and we already have a lovely 1.5 year old son that have made our relationship even better and stringer that it was. So, long distance relationship can work and I have the proof.

I would not commit my heart to somebody who is living far away from me since it can only leads to hear break. If I would fancy somebody who is far away I make sure that she is ready to moveinto my country or else I am prepared to move into her country.

Long distance relationship aren't easy. I do believe they are possible. But they work for some and not for others. Some relationships are just not meant to be.

there are really some instances when life gets too hard, especially when we can't understand the people around us. long distance relationships work when both of you have enough patience, love, faith and understanding. it's a 2 way process. it must be both of you who have all these values.

i have no personal experience. but when you say so, it must be something taht we need to think. i guess in this case both partner should make it happen. otherwise it will not be so.

No i wont think it works well for longer time and well even for a close relationship. So i dont believe on it and dont try to make it also. I keep it aside and keep my days as going as well

I'm not saying it's impossible, but it does get hard to keep a long distance relationship.
