Just when Barack Osama and Joe Biden have figured out that President Bush is not running for a third term, it appears that more competition has surfaced. A plumber from Ohio, Joe the Plumber, dares to ask a question and express his views. Because Joe's views are not in line with Osama and Biden, he needs to be attacked. So all of Osama's people use their media access to begin an attack on Joe the plumber. Is Joe the plumber running for President, also? Some of the attacks include: contiuous misquoting of his comments raise a stink about a plumbers license he does not need broadcast to the world that he is behind on some state taxes And to think, these attacks come from a close friend of Al Sharpton, Rev. Jeremiah Wright and 'Bomber' Ayrers. As Osama drones on and on about his longing to help the middle class, you would be wise to see how he treats the middle class. democrats in power are rich, elitist and liberal, and quite frankly, think very little of the middle class. You would think that these professional con artists would have been able to hide their identity a few more weeks. Watch and learn, America! djbtol

So are you saying that it's only ok for Republicans to break the law? I'm confused. I mean I happen to live about 15 minutes from "joe the plumber" and I it's the law to have a license to be a plumber or to do plumber work in this area. It's also the law to pay taxes. Obama didn't seek "joe the plumber" out we actually had no idea he would be stopping in Holland on his way into the city, "Joe" sought out Obama.

I am not supporting breaking the law. There has been no proof at all that he needs a license. The report was that he was behind on his Ohio taxes. That doesn't mean he is breaking the law. I'm sure him and the tax people are working on that situation. There are plenty of people who have gottent behind on his taxes. More importantly, this is just information that was dug up to attack Joe and make him go away. It has nothing to do with the topic, other than the obvious fact that Joe doesn't need Obama to raise his taxes. You are right, Joe did seek out Obama with his question. Was this the ultimate crime, that he would ask Obama a question and share his views? Some on the left do believe Joe was a plant (may be the work of Karl Rove!). djbtol

Count yourself successful in trying to dismiss the issue by bringing in irrelevant facts. Apparently Barry was not able to do that. He knew he screwed up, as soon as he said it. Why after all of these months of lies and deception would he screw up at this late hour? Whatever Joe the Plummer's license or tax situation is (in your opinion) doesn't change a thing. The key thing is that Joe intellectually out-maneuvered the Harvard graduate and got him to say the truth. Obama speaking the truth? The USA is not a socialist country, yet, but Obama and his anti-american crowd are drueling. djbtol

Well hmmm I spent a number of years in construction in Lucas county and Toledo the CITY in which I LIVE is in Lucas county and so I just happen to know the TMC and the LCRC for construction. In my city and county which "Joe the plumber" lives and works as well if you do any plumbing or HVAC work you need a license. If you do the work and don't have one you're breaking the law. And actually tax evasion is against the law again here in my city and county where I live and where "Joe the plumber" lives as well. As for a plant, I don't buy that for one second because I watch our local news and the newspaper comes to my house every day and there was NO news that Obama was stopping in Holland on his way to Oregon Ohio.

First of all dj, it's OBAMA not Osama. But if you want to continue to make the Republican party look like a bunch of bitter, ignorant buffoons, be my guest, it's not hurting my candidate much. As a state senator in Illinois Obama was very good to the middle class. This continues when he moved on to the US senate. Nobody is attacking "Joe the Plumber". McCain brought him up to begin with, and it appears to me that "Joe" or "Sam" or whatever his name is seems to be enjoying the spotlight. It wasn't the Obama campaign that went digging around for dirt on this guy, it was the media. Really dj, I thought you were smarter than this inflammatory discussion. How dissappointing.

First of all, the media and Obama are one and the same. Second of all, the immediate attacks on Joe the Plumber were expected, so no surprise there. It took less than 24 hours, yet after 2 years, the media still has not done that much investigating on the candidate from Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church. Finally, the attacks against Joe the Plumber really don't matter. The important thing is what Obama Hussein said about his economic plan - "spread the wealth". The middle class can roll the dice, and then send their check books to the democrats. Hey, by the way, did you hear that there is a second Joe the Plumber. I think he is in Kentucky. He said he is going to vote for McCain because Obama has no experience. Don't ever underestimate the political savvy of a plumber. djbtol

"spread the wealth" was not the only message of the five minute discussion that Obama had with "the Plumber". And even good ol' Joe himself has come out and said that he misunderstood Obama's tax plan, so all your points are really mute. Obama and the media are not one and the same. Did you ever stop to think that Obama gets better press because he has earned it by smiling through attacks, attempting to stay focused on the real issues and making himself accessible?

Not you of course, but my general persuasion is that anyone who tells me that the mainstream media is not totally in the bag for Obama is probably not fit to go into a voting booth. It shows a huge disconnect with reality demonstrated by mountains of documented fact. Obama earned this status? Possibly in one way, but he did not earn it. 'Spread the wealth' is Obama lingo for socialism. If you want the US to change course now and become a socialist country (apparently you do), then it probably is no big deal. Myself, I am impressed with the system that has worked over 200 years, and in that time has made American the greatest country. Besides, what makes you so confident that you are not one of the bad people (have known some measure of success)? Obama will establish the line, and if you have too much, he'll be at your bank account before you know it. djbtol

I started a discussion about Joe the Plumber and how McBush is blaming Obama for Joe's privacy being violated before reading this post but I had no idea there would be anyone who would possibly take such idiotic accusations seriously! Of course, if a Presidential candidate, in this case McCain, brings someone up about 20 times during a national Presidential Debate the media is going to DO THEIR JOB and find out whatever they can about this guy! From all appearances he's been enjoying this immensely and will probably make enough money to qualify for a tax increase under Obama so he'll really have something to b1tch about! When someone is thrust into the national spotlight and it turns out he is doing or not doing something he's supposed to, you betcha, as simple (talking) Sarah would say, the media is going to find out. If this person makes questionable comparisons between Obama and Sammy Davis, Jr., maybe some won't see him in the greatest light, but he said it, the media didn't make him and Obama didn't make him, nor did anyone force him to make all his TV appearances or hold his own press conference. I'll say this - Joe the Plumber may be less of a professional con artist than the V,P, candidate Palin, at least he's more forthcoming and willing to grant interviews! Annie

'DO THEIR JOB' - except in the case of the little man with the big ears. After two years, the mainstream media has not yet discovered and/or reported the truth about this African. Worse than that, they have played the role of a democrat propoganda machine - spewing out lies, everyday and all the time. If Hussein wins it will be totally based on lies, deception and corruption. What a great foundation for the Office of the President. djbtol

Shoot annie, I think Joe the plumber has given more interviews in the last couple days than Palin has given in the last couple months! Does SNL count as a media appearance? LOL

You're right, soccermom! For someone who's been so victimized by the media, he seemed pretty happy sitting there on Huckabee's show tonight. I was channel surfing and caught a few minutes so I don't want anyone to think I've been converted to Fox...lol...although as far as conservatives go, Huckabee can be entertaining to listen to. Anyway, they were saying how Joe could now run for Congress since he's already been "vetted" by the media and all his secrets are already out. Annie
