What do you think was the best one liner of the last presidential debate? Mine would be... "I'm not President Bush. If you wanted to run against President Bush you should have run four years ago." This stuffed Obama and the DNCs line right back in their faces. The best part of it was, Obama couldn't counter it.

My favorite was actually a gaffe... When mcCain called Obama, "Senator Government". Lol He corrected himself but I think it should have stood.

You think that was the best line? "Obama couldn't counter it"? What? Obama clearly said that the reason he compares McCain to Bush is because they agree on the self-evidently failed policies that McCain is now advocating for, and McCain himself has boasted about how often he agrees with Bush, so Obama's totally right on that. The best line was definitely Obama stopping McCain in his tracks when he tried to lie that Obama would fine a small business owner for not providing health care to his employees. McCain reacted to "Your fine is zero" by blinking madly and asking "zero?" while staring at Obama wide-eyed and open-mouthed for over ten seconds, then looking around nervously, then back for a few more seconds, before finally going back to his 'normal' expression and taking some notes, all while Obama explained that he only intends to enforce (with said fine) the requirement to provide health care to employees on large businesses, not small ones, and reminded McCain that he mentioned that in his last debate. McCain looked positively dumbstruck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao5V66m5FaA

Sadly, both had their share of lies.

So, what you're saying is you consider Obama's lies "exaggerations", but not actual lies. Only McCain does that.

"McCain was merely expressing his astonishment that Obama could be so insistent in his farse." The fact that Obama was absolutely correct in pointing out that McCain was lying about his health care plan fining small businesses for not providing health care to employees makes the above total nonsense.

I have to agree with you on that line being one of my favorites. The fact that he took a stand and said that makes me a little more comfortable with my vote, considering I will probably be crossing party lines to do so. I am sick of voting for a party instead of a person, and when McCain said that, it made me happy, because I've been so disgusted that this whole time Obama keeps throwing Bush in McCain's face. I have done my reading, and Bush appears to be way more conservative, and actually, I have heard a lot of conservatives say they didn't want him because he wasn't conservative "enough". So when he said that, it definitely made me respect him more--I certainly already respected his many years of service for this country, but that said a lot. Also, a funny thing was, as someone already mentioned, the "Senator Government", I figured it was a freudian slip or something, he is human--but it was funny.

"I'm not President Bush. If you wanted to run against President Bush you should have run four years ago. I loved it when he said that.
