God's Black Sheep Children

I had an interesting discussion the other day with a Christian friend of mine, I was telling him how I had wavered in my beliefs many times because I always felt that Christian people were judging me and finding me lacking. He put a very interesting point across to me that God knows that all of his children are not perfect, but through christ and through our belief in Christ his compassion is unwavering ... in other words that even though we don't always follow his way, that just believing is sometimes enough for him. do you agree?

Do you mean that a person can do ANYTHING and behave in ANYWAY as long as he believes in God?

No. That would be incredibly stupid of me lol! I am not talking about huge mortal sins, I mean that I make wrong choices a lot, I haven't led a 'perfect' life, I make mistakes, I do wrong things, sometimes I lie, sometimes I judge I mean I am not perfect, I have struggled and under cut other people like the next. What I mean is that through all of this I have kept on beliveing enough to steer away from really bad things (and trust me in my quest for survival I could have been down many different paths!) what I am trying to say is that I think God knows I am not perfect and unlike many people who judge - throw stones from glass houses - I think god knows me inside, he knows I believe, he knows my intentions why misguided are not evil.

: ) Your friend is correct. We are all God's children, and we all make mistakes. None is better than the other. A sin is a sin, a wrong is a wrong. He will help us all to become better. Even those that say they don't believe. For if even one child is lost then all is lost. Never judge anyone.

Absolutely! I believe that the most important part of being a Christian is your faith in God and His grace that was delivered through the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ. This is the basis for for all the rest. When Jesus himself was asked what the most important commandment is, He replied that it is to love God. The second is to love others. He said that all the other commandments stem from these two. Look up Matthew 22:37-40 if you want the full text.
