Ever lost an important object?

I remember that i was late for work once, and had lost my car keys! I had to take public transport and then walk the rest of the way. I felt like I'd done my eco-warrior part for the year, but had to find my car keys.
Turns out i dropped them down the drain outside. So, what have you lost at vital moments?

I am the most unorganised person i know - i'm always losing things, fortunately i am generally good at keeping hold of the important things, although i did lose my bank card last week which i was really mad with myself about - i had to cancel it and order a new one which took time and was a real pain because i couldn't withdraw cash from the atm or pay for things in shops with my debit card! fortunately the new one has arrived now! I lost my mobile phone a little while ago too, i started a discussion about it here on mylot because it was soo difficult to get in touch with all my friends and family to get their numbers again!!! i'll learn my lesson one day though i'm sure!!! xxx

Yeah it was a complete nightmare, all sorted though and i won't be doing it again!! i was mad with myself for being so careless more than anything! the annoying thing is that i hang on to all sorts of things that i don't need, buttons from old coats and random stuff like that that i really don't need, i never lose those!! lol xxx

I've lost my gold bracelet when I was in elementary. It's from my mom. I remember that it's our Christmas party. When I arrived at my school I feel like that there is something missing and I noticed I was not wearing the bracelet anymore. I was shocked when and I don't know what to do. I try to walk back were I've passed by. And I didn't saw any bracelet on the floor. Maybe I lost it in the car. I just don't know how I will say it to my mom. And I also lost my mom's 500-peso bill when I was a kid. For the mean time, that's is the important object I've lost. I don't want to loose again an important object.

Today the amount is not that big. But back to my previous age when I lost it, it's more expensive and I'm still a kid for me it's already a big amount of money. I think I was just 5 yrs old. I am with my uncle that time, we go to the rental shop to rent VHS, cartoons. And that is the money we will use. My mom gave it to me and can't believe I've lost it. Anyway I'm still very young and that's how I felt.

i am in the habit of misplacing things.
i am seriously thinking of not taking Surgery for this reason. Can not afford to loose a forceps inside abdomen ha ha.
I have lost recently a digital camera. Canon Power shot A450.
It was a good 5 Megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom.

yeah i have lost keys too. i didn't felt anything when it fell to the ground i ended up calling my brother to come home immediately as i cant go inside the house and it's gonna start to rain. at times i do tend to forget a lot of things as well. i got that after i gave birth...i became forgetful

I lose things all the time. But in my defense, its not because I misplaced them, its because people like to move my stuff. Especially 5 year old children lol. You'd be amazed where you can find things like car keys and bank cards! My big thing that I myself lose all the time is paperwork. I'm ALWAYS losing that one piece I need, but I have the other 100 or so that went with it. Gah. Its enough to make me lose my mind sometimes.
