Nowadays, more and more Filipinos wants to work abroad to earn for a living. Given a chance to work from other country to earn good money and so you can elevate your standard of living, then, where in the world would you like to go and have a job, and why? or would you still like to stay in our country and try your luck, why?

I am contextualizing this predicament in the context of being overseas because it is easier to find our culture and our people intact when we are away form the country. It has always been the case that we get to appreciate what could have been apparent in the country - the values and the interhuman connections - when we are far from the possibility of it. It is my fear that we would continuously neglect how we are as a people while we are still in the Philippines. It is my fear, that come the chance that we leave the country and we might not have the opportunity to go back and mend the brokenness of our people as we see it today. I would rather, as I am here in my homeland, try to appreciate the wonder of the salient relationships we share beyond the bickering and conflicts or our times. I suppose, though, I would choose to stay here, or if I leave, I would always try to find my way back home.

I'm already in US. I'll answer your question anyways. I'd probably want to work in Canada or England. I heard it's nice to work there and you'll earn really good. Work abroad while you're still young and able to handle the stress. once you saved money then you can go settle in Pinas again. you'll be financially stable by then

Maybe the reason why you want to work there is because your profession is somehow fitted or custom made for their demands. If that so...go girl make your dream come true. Pautang ha when you get rich, hehehe...joke--cheers

I don't want to work abroad. Because I just can't talk whenever I will have a conversation with foreign people. I'm very shy and afraid that they will laugh at me because of my English. My auntie is in Canada, she told me she will try to get after I finish college. I don't want to go there. I'm afraid that my other relatives will laugh at me. Because I of my poor English when it comes to conversation. I can't talk straight in English. It's hard for me to talk than to write.

Not going to abroad because you have a little sort of difficulties in speaking a foreign language is not actually a reason at all, especially when you have have an opportunity to go there. Practice makes perfect, right?--cheers

Well, practically almost all the people I have talk to wants to go to abroad and work. Because for some reasons of having a greener pasture, the pay is good, and there is an opportunity to get your family in the country you wanted to work. In my case, I want to go to US with my family so I can work and at the same time, be with them.

If it comes to work tho, i'd still prefer to work outside the Philippines. But if i'll be older and about to retire, i'd rather stay in the Philippines because there still no other place like home.

that's a good sense of idea and a decision to stay for good if time comes.

Not all of our fellow Filipinos succeeded in going abroad, some of them go home with nothing on them and some committed crimes or some are abused by their employers. Its a matter of luck. So my advice for you is if you think you can excel here in our country by having your education background or talent or skills then show it here in our own country. Our country is indeed the best place to enjoy life. There is no place like home as the saying goes. Our love ones are here and this is the land where we are born and already grew up , molded by our environment and shaped by our parents. Personally, Id still prefer tyo stay here in our native land and i want to succedd here because this place is everything to me.

I would like to work in Singapore or any Asian country. It is much easier to adjust to their climate.
