Have you heard the news of a college student, who was imprisoned for identity stealing. Said college student girl was sentenced for 5 years and was ordered to pay a certain amount - more than $100,000, thus aggravated because she conspired with her boyfriend, who likewise made use of a check that bounced.
Said college student was so pretty and I can say that looks can be deceiving.
Nowadays, we see people or talk to people depending on their looks or physical appearance. We put so much trust to those who are good looking, only to know in the end that they will be the one to destroy us.
Nonetheless, this cannot be taken in general. There are still people out there with good looks, who have good personality as well.

i am guilty of that also , i dont know why it is always easy for us to trust someone who is good looking or a person who dress so well and looks educated that a person who is so untidy and looks so poor. Because the looks can be deceiving like you say. I remember i heard about a story of a man who went to a bank but the guard refuses to let him in because he is wearing a slippers and he looks so poor. But the man doesn't push himself to the bank but instead told his story to the media who and blew the story so big that it hits or put a lot of criticism
on the banks , And you know what the man actually wants to deposit close to 300, 000 pesos he gets from selling fish in the market (he owns a big stall in a market) for several months. poor bank they've lost a possible big client and a lot of clients .

Thank you for adding your comment on the discussion.
That was actually a remarkable example of the topic i had started. Looks can really be deceiving.
Truly, many people would say a compliment to me, "you're so nice". Some will say, "You are an angel"....But, I would always respond to them that I am not. Because, I believe more on showing them what is the real me than giving them the impression for what I am not.
First impression don't always lasts.

i don't believe depending on the good looks are right,
beacause the iooks may not be accurate ,the looks are necessarily made speedily ,based on very superficial imformation ,not affording you ample opportunity do develpo a complete understanding of a person's personality ,
just you said the folleing news the beautiful and nice college girl maybe consider as a innocent person and a good and noce person before she was sentenced for 5 years, and the looks can be ceceiving ,...
in daily life, people use strategide to make themselves appear better or different from they really are, they dress nicely an d practice their best manners ,even though this may not be thier normal behavior,
so the looks is only a temporary .is just a mask, this mask will inevitablely break down and show thier real personality ,

Your opinion on the discussion is definitely correct and well taken.
People should not judge a person based on his looks, rather it should be on their characteristics. Looks really can be deceiving and there are people tend to hide their real self. More particularly when those people have selfish motives.
You are indeed right that people wear masks in order to deceive, that is why we have to be aware of people like those.

Yes, I believe with that, indeed looks can be deceiving, I agree with you that sometimes we have this kind of notion that we think if the person have a good appearance, we can trust him or her, which sometimes they are the one who can actually do bad things to us. Most often than not, we trust more people who are good looking and formal appearance than those who got a bad appearance. I for one thing, have that kind of notion, but these days, because of these things, I learned not to put so much trust with anyone. I think it was best to be cautious a little. But just like you said, not all people who are good looking got a bad personality, I'm sure there are still people out there who are good both in personality and appearance.

Looks can be deceiving, no doubt about that. We might think that we're good or experienced enough to be able to judge who is good and who is bad...but little did we know that there are people who are better at cheating than us at judging. That's why it's bad to trust people too easily nowadays. The world is not that safe anymore.
And good looks definitely don't mean they're nice, same goes for ugly looks don't mean they're evil. :) Shrek is nice. :D

Looks certainly decieve.... merely good loooks should not be the criteria to judge someone.... u can not judge anyone's nature depending upon the looks but people do fall 4 looks..... Its the looks that attracts people and later they come 2 know about the nature..

Yikes. I never put my trust on people which I think are goodlooking or whatsoever. Looks are really deceiving. That's why one should be sensitive to whom he/she is talking to. Not just basing your judgment on someone's looks, but on how he/she say things, their underlying intentions and all.
