My girlfriend recently got hired by Etelecare. They accept college undergrads. She said that they give equal oppurtunities there. Some of undergrad there were promoted as trainer. The value their employees'skill there. If you want to apply for a day shift call center, there is a Australian company (Orchid) in Ortigas. Most telecoms company also offered day shift jobs. Are you really sure you want to enter the call center? If so, say good bye to your social life

hi. i'm currently working in a call center and has been w/ the company even before the call center industry became known in manila. anyway, i'd just like to comment that there are some call centers who look at the educational attainment of an applicant, while some also consider high school or college undergrads. it really depends on the position/account that you're applying for. as far as i know, Convergys or eTelecare (i'm not sure which of them) requires that an applicant should at least be a college grad. Sykes accepts college undergrads but it depends on the account that will be hiring you. if you're going to apply as a call center agent, i suggest you to show the ff traits: - be confident - show your willingness to learn - let them know that you don't have any attendance issues and make sure to prove it to them if you get hired - let them know that you're a team-player if you want to apply to our company, just send me a message and i'll refer you to our company. gd luck! ;)

I guess, just be yourself and do not mind much the construction of sentence, but be confident when conversing English.

There are many call centers in Ortigas, Eastwood, and Makati. I think you should have a good grasp of the English language first and foremost. If you're not that good then maybe you can practice conversing with someone who can help you out before applying. There are different call center functions as well. Being part of a support team is easy and I think sales comes next. The others will require more technical know-how.
