If an EX-CONVICT knocks at your door, will you let him in?

hi everyone. The question is not literal. I mean, if someone made friends with you, or applys at your office or company, will you take him in if you came to know that he has spent some time in a penal establishment. Will you give this man or woman a chance to do something worthwhile in his life or move on from his dark past? Will you give this person a space to recoup with his or her life? Will you give this persona a chance to live a normal life? What do you think? Just honesty please. Thank you.

the way you asked this question is forcing people to say yes, it depends on what he did, i mean would you take in a ex-convict that did time for premeditated murder? well i wonder if they do get out, i don't really know the laws that well, and how much time he'll be in a penal establishment. But if it is something light like a theft assault on a person, or something that doesn't sound gruesome, then yes i would accept him/her , but he/she would have to work hard to gain my complete trust. If they want a second chance they have to work for it.

Hi. Thanks for responding. Thank you too for the assessment that my way of asking this question is forcible. I am only new here at myLot. Is there a way for me to edit this post? I agree with you that it needs hardwork to gain that trust. The only thing I want to know is if people will discriminate ex-convicts. Good day.

you don't have to change you question, i just joked a bit about it, besides i don't think you can change it, living in today's society is very hard, prejudice, racism, people don't really trust each other, they says their you're friends and then they talk behind your back, even if you accept that ex-convict, he/she will probably not trust you, i mean most people today think it's common knowledge to avoid convicts, so he/she will ask himself/herself why you accepted him/her? Why do people avoid convicts/ex-convicts? to keep themselves away from danger, even if there is only a minimal possibility that that ex-convict would do something, people would still prefer not to risk, why? self-preservation. I would accept him, if you ask me why? probably because i'm weird, my mind is more than just warped, at least to society. And no i am not in a mental institution.
