How can you have such strong feelings for someone when they dont have them back?

love is really a mystery which no one can predict nor describe. i believe that you cannot choose the one to fall for. you may have affection for that someone but it won't be love. i also think that love is unconditional. it does not require the other person to love you in return. so it is really possible to be in love with someone for so long even if they do not feel the same way.

Hi gemma, Yes, unfortuately it does happen. I don't really understand why it does but I do know that it is possible. It isn't a good idea or any fun if you have strong feelings for someone who doesn't return the feelings. A one way thing is never any fun. And sooner or later the person with the stronger feelings is going to find themselves getting badly hurt. But, if they already knew that there were no feelings to begin with then it is their own fault for continuing to feel the way that they feel. I can tell you because I have been in that situation and it isn't very pleasant and it is certainily very painful. You always hope that the other person will change their mind, but almost always that never happens and you find yourself very hurt in the end.

Oh, I have this kind of experience too. I guess, until now I still have feelings for the guy and it really bothers me each time he would show up at home and still he seems does not get it that I am uberly crazy over him.
