A crazy day With my PC !

Well , as the titlle says , to day was a very special day with my PC ,it is the first time that my computer fails and I who repeared it ,.. my DVD player has been broken , when I opened it ( I was so scare to do that ) I have found some small pieces which weren't in their palces , some others were blocking every thing , it was a choas .. I spend all the afternoon fixing those stuffs , and now I am so happy with what I did , because this is the first time of my whole life that I open and check my PC by myself !! Have you ever opened your computer by your own ? what were your feelings when you tried to fixe your PC for the first time of your life ? Did it work , I mean did you repear it or just you mad things more complicated ? How was this experience for you ?

i must agree the first time can give a big scare but if you don't try you'll never learn. At the moment iv'e replaced my case with a lancore case which means i can disasamble my pc within 2 minutes without the use of a screwdriver ;)

Yeah I agree with you when you have said that it scares xhen you do it for the first time , and if we do not tyr it we will never learn , I had learnt lots of things when I opened my PC , It seemed to me impossible to fix it , but it was so easy and so funny !

My first time of opening my first Windows PC is when I bought a new 40 GB hard drive. Installed it and it didn't work! I tracked down the correct power connections and data cables, but, although the hard drive worked, I had only 8 GB available! The BIOS chip had the 8GB limitation. After researching on the Internet, I located the manufacturer of the BIOS chip, they sold upgrade chips. So I purchased one and when it arrived, I installed the chip, turned the computer back on and... I had all 40GB available! So, my first foray into the inside of my computer was successful and have since upgraded audio, video, and modem cards, and installed a ethernet card. That lead to actually constructing my own computer several years afterward.

It was so though as a begin but you did it at the end , you reached your object as I have done , so I have one little question , were you scared when you opened your computer to change that hard drive?

My PC now is naked :) i often dont put the casing on it. because sometimes i need to plug or unplug something in it. i have already done this for the last eight year :D it quiet scary when you first do it.

Wow , what a situation ! you are awlways getting on your PC , inside and outside , I think that it will be so lovely to have a computer like yours , because it would be so easy to change some pieces from time to time.
