Do you have acne or have you had acne? How do you treat it? I'm curious to know what works for everyone.

Proper diet is very important for clear skin. It is good to drink lots of water, eat fruits and vegetables, and stay away from sugary foods--sugar is an inflammatory agent so it can cause break outs. Also, it's better not to put your face on your pillow when you sleep because the oil from your hair gets into your skin. As for skin care routines, I was my face in the morning and at night--I like Noxcema. About once a week I might also use a mud mask treatment to clean out toxins from the pores.

Hi,I suffered from acne for years. Needless to say it caused me a lot of stress, which of course caused more acne! I tried over-the-counter products, home remedies, dermatologist, etc, and still nothing worked. I was an emotional self-conscious wreck over it. One day I decided to dab a very small amount of Neosporin ointment on a few of the spots, and I was surprised to notice that my acne started clearing up very quickly. I started relying on it for awhile and things only got better. I wouldn't recommend using the product for long term though, and I don't use it anymore except on rare occasions. Nowadays I don't worry about my face as much as I used to. I do not use any over the counter products for my face, even when I get slight break outs. I just wash my face several times a day and I make sure I leave some moisture on my face instead of drying completely. This seems to keep my face from drying out.
