I have not enjoyed watching General Hospital in so long - but boy it was fun to night! Actually I watched the recent episode of Night Shift. I was mad at the prospect that they would kill Robert Scorpio off so horribly - he was the hub of the show back in the the mid 80's and boy was he a cutie!!! Him, Luke and Sean Donnelly - that threesome were the best undercover, capper finding, problem solving and villan fighters ever!! Sure wish they'd put some of that excitment back in Port Charles! You guys that just started watching the show - you ain't seen nothing! GH used to be so eventful, exciting, adverturous, enthralling show ever! But on Night SHift, they have RObert with colan cancer and complications and I just think that was horrible to have such a dynamic character deteriorate to nothing. Not that it doesn't realy happen, but this is soap land - our heros ALWAYS go out with a bang!! Well, Robert went into a coma and relived some of his past and they edited it with clips of the actual airings back in 1985. When he first came home and saw a little girl in his house, only to find out she was his little girl, Robin. His old friends Sean Donnelly and TIffany Hill Donnelly came back and Sean was a cutie then just as he is now! Tiffany was the hoot of the show back then! Robert is supposedly dead - and he doesnt' think he is and the friends all try to talk him back to life. And then Luke comes in and finally sums it up for Robert that after all they've been through and done, they deserve to die with a bang, in a blaze of bullets or dark alley amongst a fight with a world control freak person (Fiason, the bad guy they chased back then!) , not calmly and quietly in a hospital bed! I think the Luke character is such a joke these days, it was nice to see the "old Luke" back again! I was cheering him on! And I NEVER do that for him! But what he said just summed up the years those 2 had together. Yes, Robert came back to the living. They had his old house - the steps and all but what they didn't show was that secret agent/spy operations room he had hidden behind the wall where that gold wall hanging thing was! Remember that! The WSB control room!!! And they showed the actual clips of several of the scenes as they aired in 1985 or so and just to take the little jaunt back in time - was so much fun! If you can find it anywhere on TV or the internet - watch it, if you remember those times, you will love it! It is the first of a two part final episode to the season of Night Shift. Next tuesday is the final episode. I get SoapNet so I watch it on Sat if there is nothing else on. I don't care at all for the show, but once Robert came to town, I try to catch it on Saturdays. A wonderful trip down memory lane to a time in the soap world when it was fun, exciting, adventurous, location shots and a ton of wild happenings that could only happen in Soap WOrld!!! Wish those days would return!!!

Wow...I just got a chance to watch the double episode Night Shift clips. What a great tribulte to GH history. That was amazing. Loved the renactment of the first Robin/Robert meeting and the actual clips of that as well as Robert and Anna's wedding and the aztec adventure. That was all stuff that kept me glued to the edge of my seat. GUZA take notes. I am hearing that they are going to continue Night Shift and I have a feeling if it is continued to we written like this Guza will loose most of his daytime audience. Heck the only reason I would keep watching daytime is for LIASON and even that is uncertain. Guza wants Sarah Brown to stay at any cost---even to pair her with Jason...Big mistake Guza...even most Jason fans first fdon't wanna see that!!!! Anyways, loving NighShift. Rober/Anna and Jagger back in town have REALLY gone a long way to perk it up this season...

OH---and I forgot to mention...I am hearing...the Holly reference is because apparently Emma Samms will be back to reprise the role in Night Shift 3. Interesting!

Wasn't that great!! - wish they'd done the Ice Princess tho - that is what started Robert in town in the first place! I wish they'd do more stufff like this to. It was SOOO GOOD back then! Now, it is just "who's Sonny child?" and "who'd going to marry/divorce next?" I'd watch it regularly but it comes on at 11pm - I can't stay up that late! And mid day on Saturday - I can't arrange my day around it. I didn't care much for Holly after she came clean about being the con artist with her father. I jope Guza does listen to us and brings back the fantastic excitment to GH today that they had years ago!

I never cared for the Luke and Laura storylines. What a couple of dorks! But hey, they had the show going! It was so much fun back in those days! Now, it is so boring and drawn out and monotonious. Hasn't been any excitment there since....since.... hum.... surely there has been some.. no, have watched it every day and there hasn't been! yeah, i always liked Scotty - poor guy, just loved the wrong girl and let love ruin his life. He was pretty good on Port Charles, the spin off. Everyone know where the "Lu" in Leslie Lu (LuLu) came from ? Leslie is Laura's mother and Lu - is from "Lucy Jones" the name Laura used when she and Luke - (was Lloyd the name he used?) when they went on the run from Frank Smith for the little black book with the "left handed boy" Hutch.

Those were the good old days! I liked how they referenced that Holly was missing. Way too fun. I loved the very beginning with Robin in the little dress and sneakers and Anna in the dress and lace mantilla. And then both of them saying "to heck with this" and being themselves again. Sean hugging Robin and remarking on Robert being a grandfather soon. It was just really hilarious. I hope he recovers.

yeah it was funny that they made note that Holly was not there! It was cool that they started it with Robert walking into his house nad seeing Robin and then showing the actual clip back in 1985 where he actually did that and saw her for the first time! They better let him recover. And that mantilla Anna wore was like the one she wore when they got married. That was cool. It should have been aired on GH, not just Night SHift - I think they should do that a few times a year to let us re-live the wonderful past!
