Friends, Do you think that the change of life styles and food habbits are the main reason for disorders like diabetes and hypertension at very young age like in 20s in present population which is going to be the kind of epedemic? Last year Indian finance minster has said because of increasing medical costs, many people in middle class or dipping to below povertyline. Now a days no.of people suffering from kidney failures and heart problems has increased which has direct impact on thier financial status. Here in India, many of the people are not properly covered for their medical needs. Do you feel that keeping ourself fit by doing regular excercises and balanced diet will be the solution to over come the above along with yoga and meditation?or changing life styles and food habbits will give us the remedy.?

Yes, I do. Our lifestyles and food habits are killing us, literally. We all need to get more exercise, eat more whole foods and fewer processed foods. Stay away from salty snacks, soft drinks and fake food like "processed cheese food." I don't know about yoga or meditation, but getting exercise and enough rest/sleep will do wonders for almost anyone.

absolutely, we need new lifestyles people tend to not take proper care of themselves and then wonder why they feel sick and why they need healthcare... and a lot of kids are being braught up to drink soda like water, which not only PACKS the calories on for obesity, but also JACKS up their sugar levels for Diabetes and prevents proper absorbtion of vitamins and nutrients in their food...thus they arent getting the full health out of their food simply because of all the soda they drink... and they are braught up to drink the soda every day too... I myself drink water just about all the time, I dont drink much else often anymore

hi vsraovsr even here in the US we have a huge epidemic of younger kids getting diabetes becausee they are way over' weight.they eat fast food and drink sugary sodas and a lot of candy and get very little exercise too. instead of going outside for biking and walking and sports they play games all day long on the computer.parents need to wake up and teach kids the healthy foods to eat and the best ways to exercise and stop the fast foods and sugary sodas.Balanced diets and regular exercise are indeed the solution along with yoga and meditation for all countries, We do need to change from fast foods to healthy diets and from staying inside after school to getting out and getting exerecise instead.

Yes, definitely. Read the food lables. Everything you buy in the grocery store except fresh produce etc. has chemicals in it. Our body wasn't made to operate effeciently on chemicals, it needs nutrition. It's been scientifically documented since the 1950's that when we don't get the proper nutrition, we are extremely prone to disease.

Icompletely agree. People do need to take alot more care of themselves through exercise, diet and mental wellbeing. I try to stay as healthy as possible through regular exercise and cannot boast more highly of it. I regularly attend the gym three times a week and often try an squeeze a trip swimming and a run in some where too. Not only have I successfully lost a few pounds but I stongly believe it has helped lower my stress levels as well. Have heard in past exercise causes the body to release a feel good hormone. I think people should be educated at a very young age about how to live a strong and healthy lifestyle.

Hello,Rao! Due to our busy lifestyle we have no time to take adequate care for our fooding and health. We eat most of the time in restaurants and fastfood centers which sell foods those are not congenial to health. Most of these foods are cooked in unhygienic conditions and the foods contain preservatives and artificial colors and flavor to attract our attention. However if we eat these foods regularly we will be victim of lifestyle disorders like diabetes, blood pressure and obesity. So we have have to change our lifestyle and food habits to stay fit in life.thanx.
