I've Been On Information Overload All Week!!!!!

I can't believe how much I rely on the Internet and the television!!!! Last week-end we lost our internet connection and since we are bundled with our cable the TV was gone too!!! We had no connection to the outside world except for our telephone for three days! After which we went away for two days for Thanksgiving and so I really wasn't on from Last Thursday until This past Monday...It was such a long time and my son had to be entertained in different ways also! Thankfully we have a portable DVD Player! LOL It ended up being old cables outside our building that was the cause of our problem and so the cable company replaced them and we were back in business! :D I've been back a week now but it does not seem it to me as I am still so far behind! I'll never get caught up...If I've missed a bunch of your discussions, I am very sorry but I'll try to do better in the upcoming week! I have been weeding through my E-Mails pretty much all week and only done minimal on here! So, to make this a discussion.... Have you ever been without Internet and TV at the same time? If so for how long? What was it like when you got it back? I am thankful to be back and I'll do my best now to keep up as best as I can! :D ~Heavens~

Yes, last month when we lost power from the storm for 4 days..Then for most of the summer, I didn't have a computer, so even though we had TV, I don't watch it much. So I was pretty weel behind..And I can tell you this, going months without being on mylot I did have to delete much of my friends old discussions sent to my inbox, it was too much..but for not being here for 4 days, it did take me a couple of days to catch up, but it was constant, but was determine to not have to delete any messages..

Thanks Carmela! I wish I could work constantly at this but I can't because I work outside the home and have my son also to are for! The week before I lost connection I worked 40 hours because of Thanksgiving and so was behind from being at work as well! I only have a limited time on here each day on here normally and so I have to delete a certain amount of discussions under normal circumstances! That is why I spent a significant amount of time this past week wading through and deleting many discussions that I know I would never get to! I'm glad you are back here now also! ~Heavens~

Yes, that is what I did..I deleted all but the last couple days, except for my best responses which I wanted to know..Then I started from there..Since you have little time, maybe just delete everything except from today and go from there..Also, if you explain to your friends and ask if anyone had a certain post they think you would be interested in, to PM you that link..That way you can go on with catching up and not worry about missing s friends discussion..

Good idea and yes, I have deleted pretty much everything what with my busy work week before Thanksgiving and then being off line last week end! ~Heavens~

The only time I've been without both at once, is when the power's been off. This usually lasts a couple of hours at the most. As you know, I was without the computer for about six weeks, this past summer. It was really rough, and when I did finally get back online, I was so far behind it was impossible to catch up. These days, I seem to run out of steam easily, and so it depends on what I manage to accomplish here, on any given day. Too much on my mind I guess. I'm glad that you're getting a lot of the old wiring replaced, on the outside of your building. Hopefully your phone, cable and internet connections, will be in good shape from now on. Take care.

I hope we are out of all of these problems now too! I hate living in old buildings!!!! I understand all that is on your mind these days...Thanks so much for answering my discussions today, I really appreciate it as always!
