I've had stuffed animals all my life and I've kept quite a few one day passing them along (I couldn't get rid of them that quickly). Besides putting them in the washing machine -- how do you wash your kidlet's stuffed animals? It's getting to be germ season - I"m right now cleaning all the toys down and drowing them in lyseol and bleach lol. But I have all her stuffed animals left - what do you do?

I've washed a few with stuffing but I'm afraid of the bigger animals and the ones stuffed with those synethic pellets. You're not lazy?! Listen -- this whole motherhood thing is hard work ... any short cuts you find - Lucky you! But Good mom's are never lazy -- they're working 24/7 :) Thanks!

I was never really a fan of stuffed animals but my son had a few when he was growing up and for some reason my grandmother ending up collecting quite a few as often times her grandkids would buy them for her, so she has a little collection of them that she really likes. I often will have her to sack them up and I will bring them home to wash for her. I wash them in the sink in Woolite and put them in the dryer on the delicate cycle for a few minutes to start the drying process and then I will put them out on my patio table to completely dry.

Wal Mart sells this stuff called OdoBan and I love it it works far better then Febreeze plus it's a bacteria killer and it cleans very well. You could spray it on the toys and maybe give them a good scrubbing with a brush or a towel. I hope that works otherwise if that doesn't work maybe you could spot wash them with some water and then toss them in the drier at least the heat would kill anything.

I'll look for that next time I'm at my favorite store lol. I'll even use it for my couch and carpets... I have a bunch of allergies so anything to kill bacteria and allergins works for me! Thanks !

Try this one and see if it works.
Don’t throw a stuffed animal in the washing machine if it’s very old or very delicate. Put it in a paper bag and shake baking soda into the same bag. Shake the bag until the stuffed animal is coated in baking soda. Leave the baking soda on for about thirty minutes and then brush off with a towel. This is also a good way for cleaning and freshening animals that are too big for the washing machine.

that's a great idea- I didn't think of using baking soda! I have tons of that. THanks for the tip -- now I won't have to ruin my Mr. Bunny! Thanks!
