To feel refreshed. Set a timer for 20 minutes. Lie on your back, facing a wall and slide your legs up the wall until they can rest comfortably. Support your neck if needed with a rolled up towel. Close your eyes and place your hands on your belly. Feel it rise and fall as you breathe. Notice how relaxed you feel now.

This is a great pose, Shar19. It is good for stimulating the metabolism. It is also one recommended for restorative sleep. I don't always take 20 minutes for it everyday but I try to take even 5 minutes if that is all I can get.

I also do the same thing like what you are doing. I am having legs problems, especially when it is time for my monthly period. Usually I will have aching around my thighs, buttocks and the stomach area. To get up from bed it is very difficult because my whole body is aching. So I will try a number of positions so that I can feel comfortable in the hope to feel better. One of it is lying down on the bed with both legs up resting on the wall. Another position that I like doing is sitting on a thin mattress or a comfortable, flat carpet and bend both of my legs backwards. This means I am letting my inner thighs touch the mattress/carpet so that is the same level with the position of my buttocks. I will do that until I feel the aches gone. Usually it works especially when my legs are aching and need some stretching.
