When you are young, yo are too busy studying. When you grow up, you are busy looking for a career. When you are in a career, you are too busy establishing your career. By the time you reach 40, you are well established in your career and are at a level where you have some perks and privileges. Does life begin after 40?

Hi
i guess it depends on the concerned person. I have seen few persons of age 40+ consider themselves as old enough, whereas I'm 60 years, don't think that I'm an old lady. It all depends on the mindset. If one is young at heart, his life is always on a roll.

life begins.. NOW:D we don't really have wait to be 40... we can do it NOW :)) life is about all of this, our career, our family life, problems, failures, joy, happiness, pain..all of it are part of our lives..and it is starting now, this minute, this second:) every moment that passes by is something to be cherished because it all consists of our lives:) of my life...

Don't wait till 40. Start living it up much earlier, but at 40 you really start enjoying much more. Men get naughty at 40 now slowly it is changing to 50.

It did for me. I have enjoyed some parts, like when I was at University, but when I hit 44 I had a major life change and everything got very interesting. Since then life has been far more interesting than when I was young.
Mind you the young think you are over the hill once you hit 40 but they change their minds when they turn 40 and discover it is not as bad as they thought. 50 is another matter altogether.

Well, I will just say that at 40 most people have established themselves, had families, and have figured out who they are. Some are lucky enough to be able to do those things in their 20's....well except for having already raised the family. But, at 40, I finally realized who I was without hubby, without the kids. I AM an individual person, I forgot that during the twenty years before. I figured out what I wanted out of life, and set about working towards that goal. Today, at 49 I think I am happier, doing more with my life, and feeling better about being myself.
So, yeah, for me, anyway, life did begin at 40.

I am glad your life did begin at 40. Live every day of life as though today is the day and there is no tomorrow.

that's very nice. Always feel young, but live long.
