Hi everyone. I've just been looking through some of my friend's profile pages, and have noticed that some have many comments. Some receive these almost daily, while others have hardly any. I really do think they brighten up these pages, and in fact, may make a friend's day. I plan on taking a closer look at this, in the coming days, even though it'll take some time. 
Do you enjoy placing comments on your friends pages?
Do you think they can be overdone at times?
Do you check your profile page for any new comments?

It is such a pleasant surprise when a friend has dropped a comment on my profile. Added to that element of surprise is that myLot doesnt give notifications for comments received so if one doesnt check at times one would be quite surprised that someone has left a comment.^_^
It does take time to comment on friends profiles one by one(hmm, that could be something to suggest) but it is fun and the thought shows appreciation for being a friend. More so since it takes time and effort to comment.
I do check my profile sometimes just to see if there are new comments or to quick jump on a recent discussion that I have made.

I agree. It is a pleasant surprise, and it shows that somebody was thinking of 'you.' It also brightens up the page. It would be great if myLot could notify us when we receive a new comment. They have so many other types of notifications now, I don't see why they can't add this feature. By the way, you may want to take a look at your profile page.

I have seriously not thought of seeing teh comments so far as I have not got any comment so far. I guess it woudl be interesting to go and placed comments.

I hope you receive some comments soon, mercuryman3a. I think comments are a nice thing to do, for our friends. They really do brighten up the profile pages. Thanks for responding here.

I don't go to my profile page very often but when I do I see a comment or two and feel guilty that I hadn't seen it sooner...not that they expect you to comment back..but it is nice to get comments...

I sometimes forget to check my comments section too, but I really do enjoy sending them to people just the same. I guess we don't need to feel guilty, as it's just a fun thing to do, when we remember.

I hardly check my comments but when I ave, have found some really lovely ones; especially the ones with pictures (Please do not spam me for saying this..) I once found someone had left a list of site links in my comments areas once and this I did not find funny

Yes, there are some really lovely comments. They do help to brighten up the profile pages. No worries. I do not spam anybody. In fact, those are the types of comments I 'don't' like to receive. I find they really bog the pages down, so that they're incredibly slow. Thanks for your response.

Well, I for one have not received any comments yet and I don't bother about it since I am not fond of giving one myself. I don't really view my profile often so I just don't care about comments written on my page.

This is something I really enjoy doing, and I like to think it helps to brighten up somebody's day. We're all different, so there's something here for everyone, which is great. I appreciate your response.

I have not received any comment yet on my profile but after reading some of the responses to this discussions, I think may members out there do not know the importance of their profile page and how to make use of it.
The profile page is the only page where we are allowed to put in our referral links to the sites that we have joined. We can also used our profile page to show the links to your blogs if you are a blogger.
If you have product to sell, you can also make use of the profile page as your profile page gets viewed everyday by other members especially if you are active and have lots of things to promote over here.
I am still building up my profile page with some links for people to look at and once I am done, I would be leaving comments at others so that we can exchange visits and this way we may discover a new thing or two from others.

I have seen some comments on my profile pages but I have never put any on other people's profile pages. There are lots of blinky stuff, I'm not sure if they slow the loading time. Once I have too many, I will delete some to make way for some new ones.

I didn't use to put comments on my friend's pages either, because I had no idea how to do so. I learned how to do this through one of my 'friends' here, and it's something I enjoy. By the way, you can only add comments to your friend's pages, just in case you didn't already know this. I'm not sure if they cause my page to load slower, and I can't say I've noticed any difference. Thanks for sharing here.
