Full Name : Mateus Alberto Contreiras Goncalves D.O.B : 17th March 1983 P.o.B : Luanda, Angola Heigt : 1.88m Position : Striker Manucho has signed as Man Utd player on January 2008 after being granted a work permit. Before got a permit, Man Utd loaned him for one season at Greece club, Panathinaikos. Has anybody seen him play? Is it he's really good? I asked this question because I personally never seen him play either for former club or for Angola team.

I have not heard anything about this player. But, if he is 25 and Sir Alex has signed him then he ought to be good. Or I am wondering whether Sir Alex has just signed him as a good squad player just in case of injuries and no real plans to play him. Cheers! Ram

Thanks for your response. I hope to see Manucho in action sooner or later. At first I thought he will be replacement for Saha, but it turns out to be Berbatov as new no 9. That makes me wondering about this Manucho. Whatever, I hope he;s not gonna be a new fringe player because based on his age, he should already start playing in the first team.

United bought Manucho because of his great performance for the national team, but I don't remember in what competition - The African Nations Cup or The World Cup (including the qualifiers). I've heard he's really skilled and I was really expecting to see him. But it seems he never seems to get to United... At this time he doesn't exist as an United player to me, and I don't give him any thought. LEt's see him in the team first!
