iam speaking of if the parents tell the child he are she can,t do something then the family member is encouraging the children to do something else other then what you have told them and that can create a problem within the house hold for the parents discliping the child.

Hi ann, I don't believe any family member has any place in interferring with a parents discipline, unless there is abuse involved. Then it is an obligation for someone to protect that child or children. That goes true for a married couple. If there is physical or emotional abuse taking place then again someone sholhd step in when witnessing this. Absolutely no one has the right to abuse another person, child or adult. Any issues other than that are strictly off base unless asked for advice. leenie

hi annjilena i think its ok BUT the other member should do this when the child is not listening. try to call the father or mother in a room and tell him/her your points, maybe he can listen to it and reflect on how he scold the child. sometimes when a person is in extreme of emotions, they cant think properly. just my view. have fun
