Ultimatum

My dear friend told me his new girlfriend gave him an ultimatum..her or me! 
I laughed hearing that and I knew exactly what he said. I knew he would never allow being dominated like that and was normal he chose me. This was a new girl, so he wasnt emotionlay attached to her yet, obviously she didnt know anything about him either or she wouldnt have try something like this on him.
I didnt mocke her, I just couldnt belive she would actually give a man ultimatum. I would never do such a thing. I dont belive in dominating or begging which to me ultimatum is.
What do you think about this? Would you give anyone an ultimatum, to choose?
