Do you hang pictures on the wall?

I like to collect pictures of my family. Pictures tell stories. People always love to show pictures to others.
I have a so called family wall in our home where I hang pictures of my family.
These pictures usually amuse our guests.
I have a picture of my chubby daughter when she was only 5 years old wearing a wonder woman costume. Also of my son who was 4 then,in a Superman costume.
There's their first communion pictures and many others taken during our trips.
How about you?you hang pics?

When we had our house built, I made sure I had a space in my wall where I can hang my pictures, sort of a gallery of my love ones. I try to make sure it doesn't get too crowded though. I usually cut out a newspaper with the size of the frame that I will hang so I can imagine where it is going to be placed before placing the actual hooks

thank you so much for the tip nat,yeah cutting newspaper as pattern is just great...I will avoid making unnecessary holes on the wall.

Yes I have one primary wall where family photos are and part of another wall. I have to re-hang some as they have fallen down with vibration and need new frames but I do have photos of when my children were small and through their growing years and as adults and married. Plus some of the grandkids.

Thats very nice Cel,yeah,the picture frames do fall down sometimes breaking the glass. Some of the pictures on our wall doesnt have glass anymore...your grandkids will have fun looking the the pics of their moms/dads...happy hanging pics...

Yea..I love to hang pictures in the wall! It makes me feel better than keeping it in the album! LOL! But, I also don't make it too crowded, will only choose a great photo of everyone![/i]

I have a lot of pictures on the wall. I buy old cabinets and crop them out to make pictures with. You know the ones that are supposed to have the glass in them, well instead of the glass I take and put pictures there and then on the front get the glass put overtop. It looks really good and everyone that comes to my home always compliments them.
I think that it is very complementing to put pictures on the wall of family and family members. It makes the home so much more comfortable and like it's been lived in. I always am a little bit of a collector and hang paintings on the wall. I love any kind of artwork but lately have been leaning more towards vintage, simply because the vintage gives the home an elegent look. Great discussion I'll be sure to view many more of yours.

That is very nice to hear. I know what you mean...I have a standing divider with 5 frames with glass for each fold. There are 3 folds. Lots of pics...sad thing is,pictures became fewer when the digicam became the fad.The pics stay in the digicam like forever or the kids have them in cd...how can I ever hang CD's...LOL
Yah.its nice to hang paintings too. I like paintings of flowers.My favorite is tulips.
Vintage paintings are nice.It could go with our furnitures.We have hard wood furnitures and handcrafted wood of different designs depending on the speacialty of the place we got them.
Its nice to have nice homes,right?enjoy hanging those pics mel...

i just did that .
in my room , there are so many super stars`picture ,all are my idol.
and in the eatingroom ,i hang some pictures like scene, fruits and flowers,
these make me feel better when eatiing.
and i also hang the picture of my family,
in sleepingroom.

I went out for lunch with my friends yesterday. The wall of the restaurant was outlined with tiles which had pictures of the food the resto is known for. Looking at pictures alone would make one very hungry. While waiting for our orders to be served...we joked that we should imagine eating the food in the picture first...LOL
I remember this when you mentioned that you fruit pics in your eating room...happy pic hanging...
