If Sarah Palin is the Governor of Alaska, isn't it her job to protect the citizens of Alaska? What ever happened to those folks in Prince William Sound? In June of this year, 5 members of the United States Supreme Court (all appointed by the Reagan and both Bush Administrations) voted to reduce "what had been a $5 billion punitive damages award against "EXXON SHIPPING CO. v. BAKER". This ruling is in regard to the Exxon Valdez oil spill that happened in Alaska's Prince William Sound in June of 1989. That tragedy took place over 19 YEARS AGO! Oil Companies are quick to take their profits but have no problem allowing court battles to go on for decades without having to pay for their mistakes. Where was Governor Palin? What was she doing to help her consitituents? It sounds like the residents of Prince William Sound haven't gotten a cent while Exxon has beening spending millions on a legal team to prevent them from having to pay up. With all of the drilling rights that Big Oil already has, including a great deal of them in Alaska, why are they going after the Artic National Wildlife Refuge? Why isn't Governor Palin protecting the people of Alaska? Surely, residents of Alaska would be effected by any other "accidents" in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge or anywhere else in Alaska. Oh yeah, she is too busy firing people who won't fire her former brother-in-law and refusing to cooperate with the investigation into the scandal. She has the nerve to insist that the investigation be handled by a department that is controlled by the Governor's Office! Governor Palin should be grateful that officals of the Obama Campaign and Democratic Party aren't sinking to her level! People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! Perhaps Governor Palin isn't to worried about her house because she is getting "free" home improvements or some other type of reward from Big Oil for looking the other way?
