I feel really sorry for you! I got rid of my tv four years ago and do not miss it. I feel it is rude for people to have the tv on when I visit - after all do they not wish to speak to me having invited me over??? Besides the majority of the programmes on TV are either rubbish or for women or both! The few programmes for men are at an extra cost. I object to being dictated to over what they consider important and their prejudiced opinions. I want to make up my own mind. I get my news from the internet and can read the stories I am interested in. I can also see both sides of the argument - unlike on TV. I also do not have to put up with horrendous depictions of wonderful women and horrible men - I can read the real situation without being treated as dirt or disposable all the time. I am afraid to say that telvision is the enemy - beware of its poison and use it sparingly otherwise it will enslave and brainwash you as it sounds like it already has!
