Hi dorothy09, You should see your doctors first before you take anything, you can take paracetamol and should stay in bed at least 24 hours and drink plety fluid, water and sleep as much as you can. Hope you feel better soon. Tamara

I guess, try drinking benadryl (it is a cough medicine but with anti-histamine). Claritin is ok, but you are only attacking the allergy aspect - why not hit two birds at the same time.

I am afraid that taking two medicines at a time might not be good for me since I have not consulted a doctor... But I was also thinking those are safe to take without prescription..

Although I have not tried it before and I haven't heard of a case that it does have side effects when taken with other medication. I would always want for you to consult with your doctor always to be sure that it is safe.

Hi there rsa101 thank you so much for the quick response.. I take paracetamol and analgesics because its an over the counter product. I have no idea with claritin, its generic is loratidine.anithistamine.. Happy mylotting.

Am not sure about that as you are taking other medicnes for the flu..if I was you I would get advice from your doctor even if you can ring and ask the receptionist she should be able to tell you or the pharmacist from the chemist as they are more qualified to tell you...littleowl

Hi dorothy! It is sold over the counter so it is safe except I don't know if you should be taking it with all the other stuff that you are already taking! If you have the flu and sinusitius the I don't know if you should be taking the claritin too! That's alot of meds and when you take all that stuff together it might have a bad effect. Have you been to the doctor? If you have sinusitis you should see the doctor. There isn't anything that they can really give you for the flu, but they can give you something if your sinuses are infected. You shouldn't be self medicating! Especially taking all those things together. That can very dangerous even if they are meds that are over the counter. I think you should at least contact your doctor and see what they say before taking anything else.
