Where Does Your Dog Sleep ?

My small, 17 month old Yorkie, Shitz Shu X Maltese female dog prefers to sleep with me in my bed. I have been told that this is not a wise thing to do, in that she will consider that she is equal to me rather than my being the alpha. My brothers dog sleeps in his owners bed also and is a well behaved dog. He is eight years old. I love to have my puppy sleep with me too. She is so adorably cute in the morning when she wakes up and gives me kisses. I want to do what is best for my dog however. I have put her in her bed and she has slept there okay but she didn't appear too impressed. In the morning, she jumped out of her bed and came to my bed, looking up at me. I picked her up and put her in my bed and she adored the pets and cuddles before we got up for the day. Overall, I find that she seems much happier and more secure when she sleeps in my bed. All opinions and suggestions most welcome.
