My siblings with our respective children usually go to my sister's company in Makati who usually gives out Halloween parties for kids. For the past two years, it's a costume party for the kids complete with the usual magic show, make up corner, best in costumes, parlor games, which we all enjoy. Last year, a movie at Greenbelt for all the employees and their respective families (us included) was shown and we also enjoyed it, and the usual Halloween party again. Halloween is actually a Western tradition which the Philippines, with all the ads and commercial value it can bring, has adapted. When I was in Hawaii a few years back, I attended a Mass on All Saints Day in which all the kids were dressed in costumes and they were fun to watch as they parade in their best costumes, as if they are going to attend a halloween party, at the start of the Mass. I wonder if anyone has witnessed the same kind of event in a Mass??? Tell me your usual Halloween events!!!

when i was a kid, i was never allowed to celebrate halloween. my parents thought it was a evil holiday where you worship the devil. i don't have the same beliefs and feel that halloween is okay. my husband, my son, and i go trick or treating every year. All of dress up in costumes (not just my son) and then go door to door to get candy for my son. last year, i wore my wedding dress and black makeup to be the bride of frankenstein. this year, i'm pregnant with twins, so i'm not sure what i'll go as yet. i'll probably just paint some halloween makeup on my face. my husband is going as darth vader. my son is going as batman.
