Is a blog considered to be a website? Where can I find the ftp information?

How can I find the ftp information on my blog. I have my blog registered at blogger.com. Is my blog considered just as an website? Does blogger.com have their own hosting here? Or do I have to go somewhere else to get hosting done..? I am aware that my website address is my domain name. Please answer these questions, as I am new to getting started in creating my own website. Thanks!

You don`t have access to FTP on blogger.com. Yes, your blog is considered website. As long as u have web pages and contain content, is a site. But much more is recommended to have a blog on a domain and host bought. Let your own script and choose what you need (themes, plugins, features).

So, do I need to just pay for a hosting package by itself? Or do I need to get my domain name registered with a hosting service with all of this included?

You need a domain and host. No matter how you buy, both in a package or separately, depending on how you like it better in price and services. You can buy host without buy a domain, it is your choice.

Yes, i would like to just keep my domain name.. I have a few things that I will change on it.. Well for that, I guess I may need to just go with only a hosting plan.. I had no clue that we could host our blog on hosting services.. I thought that it was only just for websites.. Being that a blog is a website, it is like the same thing... What does hosting mean for a blog to be placed on their server?

Hi cream97, Sorry I don't know anything about blogging, I haven't got one and won't how to go about it or really want to, I'm just about geeting round head on mylot still. Tamara

Yes, I see.. Sometimes, I wished that I could make an career out of myLot... That way I won't have to worry about not having enough money to do things that I'd like to do.. If, I do this, I will not have to worry about making money anywhere else.. MyLot will have me covered..

There is no need to find another hosting company for you blog since blogger.com provides you with a temaplate and hosting for your blog.
