Do you enjoy writing?

I do, I can write for hours and just about anything... It's kind of an addiction to me. I feel like I can express my feelings when I write, I use to always get noticed in my Honors English class for writing really good papers. My last paper I wrote my teacher kept it because she wanted to show the principle and they loved it, just wish I could have gotten it back. Anyways before I was in high school my middle school teacher made fun of me because I wrote about dark things, but they were just my feelings against the things I have seen and had happen to me in those years. I still enjoy writing and I think I may just have to get back into writing poems.

That is great, my teacher once told me off in front of the class and said that writing or poetry had nothing to do with music, but I know she was wrong. I sometimes write poetry and turn them into songs and they turn out pretty good. I bet you enjoy doing that :)

Hey, Morbidbabe! I love writing, and I wouldn't be ashamed to say that it is one of my biggest interests too! I feel that writing is a very good avenue just to express myself in words, and others can just grasp hold of my inner feelings by just reading about what I write. At times I can get writers block when the ideas just don't come, but I guess that's pretty normal and every writer will experience that once in a while. I remember during my childhood days, I liked to participate in writing contests in newspapers or magazines, just to try my luck and also to hone my writing skills. Some of them really paid off with me winning some cool prizes, while for others I was not so lucky - but I take all as a good learning experience and opportunity. Nowadays, with websites like Helium and Associated Content, I can indulge in my "obsession" for writing and earn some cash while at it! I am really grateful that such sites exist, because I am getting something in return for my hobby of writing. Websites like mylot are also good too - free expression of ideas, opinions and views are rewarded accordingly, and it's still writing anyway....I guess I'll never back down from writing from the rest of my life, and will continue to enjoy writing as long as my mind still works well!

I love to write as well....and got honors in high school English from my writings. Its a way for me to vent or open my feelings up about things that I may be too afraid to talk to people about. I pour my heart and soul into my writings, so I can totally relate to how you feel about it hun.

I think you should write if you enjoy it. I like to write, but I wouldnt consider it to be a passion. I think I can be clever with dialogue, but I dont know if I always have the mechanics of writing down correctly. I think that we all do what is right for us eventually anyway.

I also enjoyed writing when I was at school and English was always my best subject. I have always written for myself. I write every day. I write because it is the best way I have of expressing myself. I can't explain things well when I'm talking with someone, and I can explain things more easily in writing. Since the start of this year I have written more than a hundred articles, nearly a hundred blog posts and I have written responses in around 3600 discussions at myLot. It could be an addiction, but it also pays. I have been paid over $500 in recent months for my articles.

I love writing. I have written and published one book and I am currently working on two more. They are both finished I am just revising them. I write mostly fiction. I love creating new characters and new worlds. I have been trying my hand at squidoo and ehow lately. I'm not as proficient with non fiction so it's harder for me to progress in that area. paid2write-- I am also better on paper than when I am talking to someone. Funny thing I've noticed is that when I am working on a book set in historical times I start talking in the same type of language. I use old English words and my kids look at me like I'm crazy.

I hate writing. I am fairly good at it, but I would rather wash dishes than write. I hated writing when I was in school. I hated writing design and program specs and project reports when I did that for a living.

I love writing. I write short stories and poems. Today I am writing a short story for the Writer's Digest Popular Fiction Awards. So far I hate it. I've got to rewrite the whole thing. It's due by November 1. That's good because on November 1 I start writing for National Novel Writing Month. You should sign up for it. It sounds to me like you could make it. You have to write a 50,000 word Novel in 30 days. Nobody judges it; you just write it. Fun huh? You can sign up at NaNoWriMo.com.

If you can write then by all means you should write. A teacher who ridicules someone's writings should be whipped, in my opinion. He he he

So many young people write beautifully haunting prose and poetry during their preteen and teen years just to express their feelings. Let's face it, growing up is hard! Putting all those feelings on paper is a release and helps a person to grow. After the initial shock of adulthood wears off many people no longer write, because the conflict they wrote about is gone. If you still enjoy writing do it!

Thank you! I defiantly agree except sometimes I still write like that, I guess I really liked the way it made me feel and some people actually liked it

Writing is just one of my passions. I got it genetically from my Dad who happens to be a journalist and really has a gift in writing (if only he was given enough resources).Since in my elementary days, I loved to write poetry, short stories and during high school, I wrote short plays. If only I have all the time in the world, I could have written more and more and more....

I love to write, but not in English. Usually write romantic things, things that make me happier when I see them written. If i do not like to write, I was no longer on myLot.

Writing has always been my passion. I've been writing ever since I can remember. I've published stories and articles. In 1999 I started a writing group called cacoethes scribendi. It's taken from a Juvenal quote and loosely translated it means "writing disease" or addiction. I had a high school creative writing teacher who gave me low marks because I didn't write about puppies and nuclear families. I wrote about what I knew, and it was about dark subjects. She told me I'd never be a writer. I almost believed her. Never stop writing. Do what you love. I wish you the best.

There was a time when writing was my life. Many said I wrote well, but my subjects were usually considered "depressing" or "morbid". As time has went on, and I have grown more accepting or things in many ways, and perhaps blessed in others, I have not done it as much. I have created more positive poetry in the past, though still not as much as when I drew inspiration from despair.

I feel the same about writing as you. I can express myself so much better. I could go on and on writing about anything and nothing. It always makes me feel better. If i'm angry or upset about something, instead of getting into a long drawn out argument with someone, i write a letter and put in all down on paper. This always makes me feel so much better. It even help to understand the problems even more. Half the time the person involved never gets to read the letter. Writing a journal even helps when you suffer from depression as i do. Or you need to express yourself and can't. This can be a real good form of therapy, for most people i beleieve. Keep on writing.
