Craving when you were pregnant? With my daughter I craved butter with cheese... yeah butter with cheese (no wonder I gained 60+ lbs...) I also craved toast with butter, grape jelly, and cheddar cheese sandwiches. I also wanted Golden Grahams with my own quart of milk. Did you want the typical ice cream and pickles? Did you like the smell of gas? Did you want ice cream from a particular stand that was closed so you pouted?

I craved spicy food. Jalapeno peppers, cayenne and anything with a real
"bite" to it. Nope, I wasn't bothered with indigestion then. But, later
did have gall stones and surgery.

I craved spicy foods with my son and I had to deal with the cravings. I had gall stones and really bad gall bladder attacks while I was pregnant even without eating the spicy foods.
I had my gall bladder removed when my son was 6 weeks old.

At the end of my pregnancy I was eating spicy food cause I was trying to induce my labor naturally. So I read an article: raspberry tea, spicy food, eggplant parm, caster oil. Yeah I did it all. Did it work, your asking? My due date was Nov. 27th. My daughter was born Dec. 6. All that heart burn i had ... my daughter was born with a helmet.

I am pregnant now. This time around I like hushpuppies with tartar sauce. I didn't really have any strange cravings with my daughter. But I did eat alot of Spinach Alfredo Pizza from Papa Johns. No I have never liked the smell of gas.
Come to think of it I have never known any pregnant lady who craved pickles and ice cream..have you? Chocolate milk was another biggie for me. White mil made me gag. OH WELL THE PERILS OF PREGNANCY.

no I've never met anyone who liked ice cream and pickles - my cousin however loved the smell of gas. I hate the smell of gas and when I was pregnant it made me gag. I had other people fill up my tank cause I couldn't physically do it lol. Congrats on your pregnancy! I miss being pregnant :( then my bubble pops because a 22 month old is screaming for dora or juice. I get slammed back into realitiy lol.

I also craved lots of dairy..Like you, any kind of cheese..grilled cheese sandwiches were a favorite..
I also loved milkshakes and set hubby down to the 24hr McDonalds many a times in the middle of the night..Sure, he didn't have to go but he knew if he didn't I would toss and turn all night lol..
I also craved...LEMONS...
I would eat a lemon like it was an orange..
My mother used to joke my baby would come out with a sour-face lol..
Funny thing is, that baby, my now 13 yr old daughter loves lemons..

Oh yeah I'd have my cravings for fast food - towards the end of my pregnancy I was by myself and working weird hours but I always had time to make a fast food run. My favorite was chicken club sandwich from Burger king with onion rings and whatever pie they had at the time - every week was something different. Now, she loves onion rings too lol.

With my son I craved spicy foods that I was told not to eat by my doctor because of my gall bladder issues.
When I was pregnant with my daughter I craved 2 things. Beef Jerky and cereal. In the beginning of my pregnancy I ate beef jerky all the time. Towards the end I was eating several bowls of cereal a day. Raisin Bran was the most popular one.

With my son, I craved a Bavarian cream filled donut and Taco Bueno......anything from there.
With my daughter, it was something kind of strange. I wanted a bologna sandwich with red onions (and it had to be RED onions) lettuce, tomato and Miracle Whip. Now, I normally have mustard on sandwiches, but, not then. After eating the first sandwich made with all that stuff, I had indigestion so bad I thought I was going to be sick. I took one thing at a time off the sandwich, trying to figure out what it was that wasn't agreeing with me. I ended up with lettuce, miracle whip and bread. That is what I ate just about every day for lunch.
I just realized where my daughter gets it from.......she loves mustard sandwiches.

Isn't it funny how that works out?! My daughter loves cheese - it must have been all the cheese I was eating with her lol.
