My 14 yr old son bought himself a motorhome. Now he is trying to fix up the inside. The problem is that the inside had contact paper on it and it was all peeling off. We tried to take it off and replace it, but from the wet wood underneith, the contact paper isn't going to work. Does anyone have any ideas on what we could put on these walls to cover up the rotting wood? It has to be something that won't hold the water in. Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you. We did staple some vinal material to parts of it and it seemed to work. It was quite expensive though. My son is just fiddling around with this but wants the inside to be "sweet", so any advice is welcome.

Yes I will definately talk to hubby about this tonight. You can and I'm sure you are very proud of your son. Only 14 years of age and taking on a project like this tells me he's a good boy!

Yes Grandmaof2, he is a great kid! He sealed up the top, washed the windows and cleaned it all up. Now just has to get these walls fixed up. He is so funny! I thin it is fun just watching and listening to his ideas.

Hi there...I'm acquiring an old caravan myself to do up and use as an extra room when my grand-kids come to visit. There is some excellent advice here and that link you were given is also great so I have bookmarked it. Your son will have great fun as he achieves each fix. Good on him!
