I don’t necessarily think my daughter has too many toys, but it does seem like she does. It is mostly because we have a very small apartment. Her room just doesn’t have enough room for a lot of stuff. We have a small children’s desk, play kitchen, and toy chest in her room. That combined with her bed and dresser and it just looks jam packed.

oh yeah my daughter is a very spoiled girl. she has a lot of toys and it wont even fit anymore in her toy box. we were thinking of buying her another box. some of her toys thought that she dont like or use anymore i tell her to put in the box as we will send it to the Philippines to give it to other kids in the province

Yes, my kids have too many toys. I went through them and got rid of some of them not that long ago, but I need to go through them and get rid of a bunch more. I have to do it without them around because they think they need to keep everything even if they have not played with it in forever.

They are spoiled nowadays, aren't they? There is nothing wrong with getting rid of some of the toys. I make my kids go through theirs every half a year and make a decision on what they want to donate to those kids who don't have any toys. Presents they receive, they are allowed to open the wrapping paper and admire the toy, but often I put them away and it's one toy at a time, not all at once. Okay, it's harder with bigger items due to limited storage space. I have three kids, they all have to attend the birthday parties of their friends. You can imagine the cost to buy presents all the time, so some of the stuff they receive does go as presents to other kids. Many parents do this. My kids know about that. They know we can't afford to buy stuff all the time. They also know that they have too many toys as it is. Their grandma often brings stuff from garage sales. Their rooms are full with stuff, lol. My kids are 2, 5, and 7. Thus far, none of them ever complaint. In fact, when my oldest was three she started complaining about the fact that she had too many toys (not enough room to play, too many toys to chose from, too much to clean up), which started it all;)

Every month my son have his new toys. Like animal stuff toys, the huge barney, the fisher price toys which his dad toys (when he was baby. My in-laws always buy him a toys too everytime we go shopping they always go to the toy sections. Now he got the thomas bubble musical, the singing frankenstein for this halloween, the boboo truck, the train and alot more. Which some of it, he never play with. And then his daddy, he bought a dozen of star wars lego, which he play for now. Im sure when he grow up, he lots of that star wars collections and toy train set. He is so spoiled!
