If you'll ask me what inspires me to paint. Uhm... I think it's sadness, disasters, death and frustrations in life. Well, it's sounds weird, but to be honest I'm eager to paint more when I'm experiencing such loneliness. Perhaps, I'm a lonely person lol or it's just a way for me to relieve my pains and frustrations. Instead of being mad about the world's unfairness to mankind, it's better to find a way to relieve without hurting someone's feelings. And it really works, I feel more comfortable even if my works looks a little violent in terms of colors. The best of it is that it let's me realize that there is still tomorrow, that hopefully the world would be fair and just Anyway, it's our emotions that's make a painting a real Art., right? So what's inspires you to make art? Is it joy, love or the same sadness that I encounter in my life?

I also fire up and paint like a mad (wo)man when I am really, really sad or upset. There is a great short (movie) that Nick Nolte stars in about an famous artist setting himself up for heartache so he can paint. I also get fired up with great music playing. Unfortunately, I must wait for the building to clear if I want/need to hear the same album over and over while I get in to it. I believe, after much study and selling thousands of paintings (I used to own a gallery) that the best match between the viewer and the painting is when the viewer has an emotional response back at the painting. I think we record our feelings with brush strokes and palette choices, much like a musician records music.

True! real Arts comes from the artist's feelings. Paintings are just objects when it doesn't contain any emotions at all. People buy the works of Vangogh not because it's beautiful, instead it's full of intense emotions as if the painting is alive. Wow! you own a gallery. You must be a Pro artist. Well, anyways thank you for your response and have a nice day.

Do you remember what that movie was called? I'd love to see it.

Any thing that create ripples in my heart may be a toothless smile of a baby or a perspiring coal miner, The criteria is the subject should ignite my imagination. It should drive me to the canvas
