I started scrapbooking when I was in High School. It was in traditional way (cutting/pasting by hand) and I did not know about acid-free and all stuff about it. It was about 3 years ago when I started to wholeheartedly dedicate my time to it. But after 2 years, I discovered about digital scrapbooking and got hooked to it. Now, I don't know what to do with my papers and embellishments. They are a lot but I am thinking of going back to traditional sometime soon. So, what kind of scrapbooker are you? Happy scrapbooking!

I scrapbook traditionally. Although, at times I will combine the two. If I have a special title or a fair amount of journaling, I will use the computer. I have also done really basic photo placement and printed them out and used embellishments over it to give it some dimension. I don't see why you can't do both if you like doing both. You can always donate your supplies or sell them if you don't want them anymore.

Thanks sukismiles! I haven't done combining the two. Maybe it's time for me to try it. I don't want to sell or give away my supplies because I would like to return to traditional scrapbboking when I am ready - that is when I have own kid. Happy scrapbooking!

I wish I were into traditional scrapbooking. I find digital scrapbooking easier to do because I do not have to mess around with papers, glues, and other scrapbooking materials. I am such a lousy person. Digital is more convenient for me because I can use photoshop.

I'm kinda new to the scrapbook thing, but one of the reasons why I wanted to try it was because I discovered the digital scrapbooking. Since I know how to use photoshop pretty well I make all kinds of graphics with it to print out for booking. The bad part about it is that I run out of ink all the time and ink can be kinda expensive sometimes. Oh wow, save your papers! Have you thought about getting into making trading cards? I recently got a book as a gift about making trading cards and you use scrapbooking supplies or digital scrapbooking methods ( or both at the same time) and anything else to make them. They are so pretty and unique that as soon as I get my craft area sorted I'm going to make some cards and see how they turn out.

That's a wonderful idea! I haven't tried dong cards using scrapbooking materials although I have read and seen them in the internet sites that I visit especially for scrapbooking. I still am learning a lot from photoshop but I guess practice makes perfect. It's good to know that you know photoshop. I used to think that I needed to take a lesson about it. Yeah, scrapbooking materials are really expensive and I have invested so much. I guess I really have to make use of my papers. Thanks a lot! I hope your project will turn our pretty. =)

I do the traditional scrapbooking. I have never tried the digital and am proud of my scrapbooks because it is something me and my children like to do together so when I look at them I can remember all the time I put in them and also remember the time me and my children spent together. It makes for great quality time with the children. And I feel like for me that digital scrapbooking would be the lazy way out for me. I prefer to do traditional. Scrapbooking is relaxing to me.

hello iamcdy, i am still of the traditional scrapbooker. i like cutting, and printing and cutting and pasting, and arranging things and papers and other cuts-outs all by myself. But honestly, i also check on some digital designs and get creative ideas from there. No, i do not copy but its more of getting new and fresh combinations of colors, or art works, thing like that. However, the traditional kind is a bit slower than digital wherein, things are done in a snap. But the thing is, the enjoyment and satisfactions that I feel after the work has been done, it is way incomparable! =) cheers to you! =)

I'm traditional, haven't gotten into the digital scrapbooking. I love working with all the papers, embellishments, inks, and techniques. I started about 3 years ago, and have 3 finished scrapbooks and several that I'm working on and adding to all the time. I started when I moved in with my s/o and have done one for each year we've been together. One year's worth of events is about all that will fit into one album lol. I've also done several 8x8 albums, and chipboards.

I am a traditional scrapper.....I haven't tried the digital because both my sisters and my best friend like scrapping so we make whole weekends out of them. We also have invested in things like the cuttlebug...cricut and sizzix....so we have at our fingers all the things to embellish the pages with if we want to. I just think its so much fun! Happy Scrapping to you too.
