I miss school

I graduated for one and a half year now, i still miss the campus life, that's why i want to rent a house nearby which is far away from my office actually. There're lots of happy memories, it turns out they will all cause my unhappinesses when i'm back now, cause things are not what they used to be. No boyfriend strolling aroud the campus in the evening, no acess to the school library cause i don't have a card now. But i can walk into the classroom to read books, to run in the playground. I really miss the days. Am i wrong? Cause past is past, i can never expect they return their former appearance, i should move on and live a new life. But i just can't. I miss delicious food there this early morning.

Hi lynettebyc, Ohhhh! we all felt that when lesve our school all those carefree days, and in the warm summer day, strolling round with your then boyfriend, its, all there in your memory and you should keep it safe there like I have, nothing is the same there now and its the other studens turn for them remember one day. I felt so homesik for my school when I left, I wanted to go back,if only to see the corriodors and playground, I have buts not the same, we've grown up. Tamara

Yes, we've grown up. I'm stupid try to keep my memories and not grow up by moving to a place near school, aren't I? I went back several times in the past one and a half years, each time with a different emotion back. I'm not optimistic enough to put the past behind, which i have to learn.

Hello lynettebyc. Though I am engaged in teaching on campus, I also miss the days when I was a student. I wish to be a student on campus as I think that I need to learn so much and update my knowledge. To be a teacher leaves me not enough time for self-study. I admire my students for being young and sitting in class listening to their teachers. If I could be a student again, I would be a more excellent student as I know more of my purpose of study now...

Hello, teacher At least you can stay in the classroom and stay with those naive students, can't you? If you're a university teacher, you can borrow books in the library If i could be~~ again, we always say this sentence, as we can only get a better picture of the things we've done after it's done.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mistery, but today is a gift that why it is called the present. But the campus dose be the most fanstic period in our lives. It is unforgettable! On the other hand, there is still a long way for us to go after scool. Forget everything, destination still awaits

If you forget everything, u might be amnesiac or something. Well, I am kidding. It was just a figure of speech, which kinda overstated. Lol Have a nice day

Well, if i'm amnesiac, i won't be unhappy, maybe i can't remember what happens just a minute ago. I think others will be sad, like those who care about me, my parents, my friends, as i can't remember my time with them. Not bad actually.

It is definitely hard to miss the old times and even if you do get to come back to the same place I guess it just isnt the same anymore cause there would be a lot of new people in there and some few renovations to the site perhaps. All we miss is the reality of the memory that we have of the place and of people. Though Im still only in college now, but I do miss my high school life. It would seem that its just us against the world. All for one and one for all and even if the time frame would be just the same as in college but the amount and quality of the times that we spent together as a class or just be in school would be more than that in college. Definitely miss my high school friends but as time and life leads, it moves on and we should move with it.

Hey lynettebyc. Same time we share since graduation, but the oppiste feeling. I've never missed school for once and I was so eager to leave before graduation. And if I have to find one point that I miss about campus life, it should be the free time. We had so much free time at school and whenever I found some interesting subjects or certificates, I had enough time to study it and got what I want. It's really very satisfying and now I have to work, I can't study things I am interested. I have spent four years in the university the city it is located and wow, I think I've really had enough. So I got my job at a totally brand new city for some fresh air. Dear, just move on and trust me, delicious food is everywhere:)

Hey, Denise, i read your profile, you're now in Suzhou, so where is your university located. Suzhou's a beautiful city. It's great that you can move on and live a brand new life, yeah, right, delicious food's everywhere, but i can't find the same relationship between colleagues as between classmates

Hello, Denise, yeah, of course i know Wuhu. Last weekend i went to Anhui province for an outing, the air's so fresh there. I went to Gu Niu Jiang, you know that, right? Is your major English? Just curious. I have several colleagus, with whom i have a better relationship than us, but i won't tell them everything, i can't trust them totally. Cauz you don't know them well enough and we may some day has conflicts or competition, no one can guarantee that they won't tell my secret. That's the difference. And maybe because of this, distance keeps the beauty inside our heart and also make us not too close. Thanks for sharing. Hope you do well in your new job. What do you do now?

Hey Lynette! My school is located in Wuhu city, Anhui province. Ever heared of that city? It's not very big, just small to media-sized and very confortable for life. People always say that it's a place for beauties as the climate and the water is very good for skin, haha, seems true. As for the friendship in colleagues, I only made one. She still works in my former company and I have left. We become good friends in life though we often argue and challenge each other at work. Others are just ordinary friends that I seldom contact. You are right! It's different from campus and as a matter of fact, we have already had different friend circles from colleagues and we are still mobile. But keep trying, you can still make some friends as time goes by:)

Until this Fall, I missed school a lot too. However, what I think I was really missing was the interaction with people and intellectual stimulation. Since I've started blogging a lot and attending writing groups weekly, I don't miss school so much. What you need to do is figure out what stimulates you and how to get it not in an academic environment. I am lucky because I live near several colleges and if I'm bored can go hang out there easily on the buses to get a little mind stimulation.

Sounds good, i can go and find out what stimulates me and keep on trying. Thanks for your suggestion. Wow, you're cool, you live near several colleges, that's great

It is not wrong to think about the past. If the past can make us move forward, then we should do what is appropriate. I miss my campus life too. Back then I have a lot of friends. All my classmates are my friends. There are no enemies, no fights and there are always happiness and closeness everywhere. Learning is very interesting and everyday I will chat happily with my friends. We will walk in a large group to go eat in the canteen. Then we will sit together in one long line at the canteen table, talking and joking around. I wish the moment is still there, but everything has changed. Every friend has their own family now, and it is not the same anymore. But all of the memories make me want to go on, and that is the only important thing to remember.

I consider it's attribute i'm not having a happy life now so i find my peace in the past which actually not only bring my happiness but also sorrow, i dare say sorrow is much deeeper than happiness. Well, it's time to stop and find my happy life, not far away if i'm determined enough to find i guess. Just wish me good luck and i will spare no effort

Hi lynette..time waits for no-man, as the saying goes and that is what you have to do carry on with your life don't live in the past, remember the memories but you will have to live for today not yesterday or tomorrow, even this second is history..now your days on campus are history but history to be remembered with fondness and love...nothing remains the same everything changes...hugs littleowl

I miss my college life too because there are really good memories to linger on. It is normal that you miss your campus life but you know... when you get a job and meet new people, you will really like being a "graduate" from books and grades. You can slowly move on and have a life of your own with new people and old friends as well. Goodluck. Happy mylotting. CHeers.

Thanks, jesbellaine, yeah, i know that now and i won't ruin my emotions because of this. Just that i know it, it's enough. Just miss, won't get back, never try to go back, it's the rule. Otherwise my life won't be better.

i graduated in 2005 and since then i miss my school almost everyday. and i wish tose days could come back. But this is all a part of life, and as each stage passes the next one comes. So we have to get along with the time and live everyday differently.

I do miss my school too! But I am planning to go back this second semester to take up some special and additional subjects that I need for my work. It has been 8 long years since I graduated and I miss my classmates and friends there who are all now working and in different parts of the country and even the world. When I was still in school, I was looking forward to work but now I am thinking, I wish I could go back and just study where life is less complicated.

For me, i definitely miss campus life for sure, there is not so much stress compared to the working world out there. The friends we made in campus is more true compared to the ones we made in the working world, who are more realistic and money minded. There is so much memories worth remembering in campus life and i think i will remember those sweet memories for the rest of my life.. yeah.

Hey, how about going back school occasionally? But don't act the same way as i did, things change and we can't be students at school for good, although it's never too old to learn. We HAVE TO grow up.

Me too .I often miss the time of being in the college ,at that time we had no worry about the future .The things we do most frequently is to study ,playing games with classmates and shopping bargins happily. Now ,after woked for a long tme ,the feeling of missing the schoollife is increasing day after day .Maybe because of the stresses coming from our work .

In my opinion, it's responsibilites that make us out of breath, also, the complicated relationship between people. We live in doubtness, some one will stab us in the back while keep telling good words right in front of us. And we have to take care of the future, not merely marks, but balance between which is better for our future life.

Yeah, i call them and send short messages, but as we're now working in different companies, different cities, we don't get much in common to share experience, the persons around them and around me are totally different. Gradually, we lost our subject, just ask, how are you these day? Fine, how about you. Fine too. Then stop our chat. I feel sad

Yes, move on. There are many times in life where you go through transition from playing one role in life to another role. You need to look into the future, the possibilities in it, not in the past, of things which actually passed. Sure, memories are sweet, but they are meant to be left as it is. Don't focus too much on the past, look forward There is a whole new world out there waiting for you to discover it :)

Yeah, people only look at the bad side of the current situation while good sides of the past. That's why we miss the past and whenever we come across difficulities, we start to recall the past. Actually there are as many as problems, it's just that we forget them. So we need to cherish today, caz it will pass too, and if we live today like this way, we will find our happiness. Every day is a past day, every day is the last day. Good luck with your studies.
