My email is a mess... I hate it when that happens !

Remember when everyone on mylot was so happy and excited that the "notify" was working? I thought it was the best thing ever. Well I depend on those emails so I don't miss my friends new discussions. It made my life on mylot so easy. 
Today my email was really screwed up and all the discussions downloaded to my office computer and didn't save on the server! I hate it when that happens cause I just know I missed out on some really good discussion! Now I have to search for who posted what.

i never encountered this kind of situation yet and thank you for bringing it up. and it's really a painstaking task on going through your friends list to know if they have something new or search it one by one instead of just go directly to the latest posts. that is sad to know.

I used to use notifications but found I like to come inside
the mylot area and look up my friends, and top items, and
hot items.then I c an see all of my friend's discussions
and answer accordingly.

Didn't happen to me yet but moving forward I'll make sure that I save a copy on the server so I won't lose my emails.Thanks for posting this so I can make some changes on my email.

A few days ago I hit the delete button and I accidentally deleted all the unanswered notified discussions started by my friends. It made me feel bad too that I did not had the chance to answer to their posts. © ronaldinu 2008

nope hasn't happened yet, but i can definately see where that would be really frusterating, lol i think for me it would be the not knowing if there were some good discussions or responses, lol it would drive me nuts until i was able to hunt them all down, which could take a while, but oh well

Well, I have been having a lot of Email issues myself actually lately. I use Gmail for Email, and also Incredimail. I have been noticing a lot of times my Gmail freezing and not wanting to deliver my Email like it needs too as well. It can be quite frustrating for sure. Sometimes it will make it to where I do not get my myLot updates, etc. as well to where I get totally Frustrated and delete everything in my Inbox, etc. and start over hoping I did not miss something that should have been of importance as well.

I dunno. I always clear my mails online. And after I respond to a discussion, I delete the notification. So, yet to fill up my mail box so that I have to clear my mail to my computer.
Even if I do, I will just back them up to a thumbdrive so that I can retrieve them later at home.
The only problem I am facing is trying to catch up with all the notifications.

Hello redkathy,
Oh, I hate it when it happens! It makes my life here miserable, searching for the discussions to respond. It happened to me twice or thrice, and I felt really bored to stay here. I just switched off my pc and wait for a few days before I started again. Hope it won't happen anymore!

This has never happened to me simply because I don't have the notify and I don't download anything to my computer. Cheers!!

I'm in another mess. I'm not getting any mylot notifications! I don't know if people has replied to my comments and given me some tips here and there. It frustrates me big time. It seems taht I'm the only one with this problem and have contacted admin about it. But they can't seem to pinpoint the prob.

my computer is as old & cranky as me. i dohate it when something happens to my e-mail. mylot & e-mail are my most important things to me on my computer. hope u get it all worked out.

Hi redkathy, never happened that to me, I have all notifications on my gmail account and all of them have labels so I can know that any mail received from here is important.. and I keep a log about all notifications, so I don't miss any discussion.. but I'm wondering, why the notifications doesn't work when someones replies to a comment in the discussions?
