Ambulance came too late

I saw this on tv just now. I was eating my dinner in the canteen when I saw the news on tv. The canteen was noisy I only hear a bit of the news. There's this motorcyclist lying on the road. He met an accident, his helmet went off and the camera shot only showed half of the helmet (I don't know what happened exactly). I saw the blood from his head flowed like a meter from his head. The guy had very bad injuries and his body can't be lifted in normal vehicle (I assume car) and they have to wait for the ambulance. But something went wrong and the ambulances came way too late. I repeat, AMBULANCES (notice the S). The first ambulance came after an hour and a half. The paramedics announced the guy's death almost immediately. Then the SECOND ambulance came. This ambulance is from another hospital. They went to the accident spot after taking care of another accident. Then ANOTHER ambulance came from another hospital. Three ambulances came to the spot way too late. And all I could say was "He's dead already!" (and the guy at the table next to me looked at me and at the tv and tried to figure out why I was acting like that (I didn't expect I said those words a bit too loud)

hmmm.. it sure is annoying when things like that happen. but i think we should also give the guys in the ambulance the benefit of a doubt. they probably had problems on the way, or even way before they went out, when the accident was still being relayed to them. one thing i noticed is that you didn't mention any policeman (or any officer of the immediate vicinity). i'm just curious if there wasn't any while waiting for the ambulances. because as far as i'm concerned, they should've done something when they noticed the ambulances weren't coming on time.

well.. i can't blame you for saying that.. but i'm just curious how annoyingly stupid and irresponsible those police officers were for not doing anything else about it. you mentioned the first ambulance came an hour and a half late. what the heck were those policemen doing with all that time? they should've at least made sure that an ambulance was actually on its way rather than just waiting for one to come.. they should've had the initiative to make some calls and made sure an ambulance is on its way to their location, and not taking care of another accident.
