on extortion charge. Man seeks damages of $180 million from Winfrey, her attorney and the FBI .Keifer Bonvillain allegedly recorded telephone conversations at Harpo Productions.Bonvillain allegedly said he wanted to publish a book based on the recordings. Since wire tapping is illegal andhe wire tapped the conversations do you think the case will be dropped. Is it possible he is grabbing 15 minutes of fame? http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/10/23/winfrey.extortion.ap/index.html

I feel he knew it is illegal to tap someone's phone line so he didn't do as he said tried to keep things legal. He received 3,000 of 1.5 million and I figure he was trying to get what he could and that he is just greedy and that he should be sued and all those that he recorded on the phone tap should sue him for violation of privacy..I don't think he should get a dime because he sounds underhanded out for a fast buck..well he received his 15 minutes of fame it might not been like he wanted it but he got some recognition.

He broke the law by wire tapping someone, so i dont feel he will get off especially with the fbi involved things have to be covered sometimes.

Oprah - this is a photo of Oprah Winfrey.
If he did get by with it then it would be a gateway just for others to try the same thing over and over again..if they made an example out of this guy then others would fear to tread in after..

I think it is a joke. I hope it gets dropped. $180 million in damages is excessive no matter how you look at it.
