How to clean a Jeep Fuel Tank

My 93 Jeep Cherokee kept stalling out, so I decided after having replaced the fuel regulator, that the fuel pump was bad, and while removing the fuel pump/sending unit assy, the strainer and float was left behind in the tank - I had to remove the tank to get the parts out, and now don't know whether to clean the tank, and if it's in need of a cleaning???

No, as long as you got the parts out and got everything completely dumped out of the tank. Another suggestion I have is to watch where you get gas at, meaning not at stations with old holding tanks. Alot of junk and rust in those old tanks that goes into your gas and clogs that fuel pump. I stay with places I know have new or recently replaced holding tanks.
