you cant keep them all. They are so cute and you love them. You know that they will be weaned in 3 weeks and you have to find homes for them. Don you hate this? My rat terrier has had her beautiful litter and I have fallen in love with these puppies. I cannot keep them and I have 5 beautiful puppies. They will not get very big! How do you feel when this happens to you?

That has only happened to me with a couple of cats who had kittens and we had no problem finding good homes for them. Yes it was hard as we got attached to them but we knew we had to find homes for them. Now all my female pets get spayed and all males get neutered. Have not had to worry about litters in many years now.

I do not have a problem with people who want them. I have people who have already asked for one. I just know this is the only litter and these will be the last puppies, I have. Its just hard to part with them.

Yes it is so easy to become attached to those cute puppies and kittens. My daughter has a rat terrier and I can remember when she bought her, such a tiny little thing and oh so cute. Her name is Brandi, black and white with no tail.

We have two. One is brown and white and the tiny one is black and white. The brown and white one is the one who had the puppies. They are adorable and are starting to focus now,and i hear tiny lil barks...ahhhhhhhh I will enjoy them as long as I can!

Yes, I do hate to find homes for puppies. But on the other hand, I am also happy to find them a home of their own. What do you mean puppies are weaned at 3 weeks? Try more like 8 weeks. Some people do at 6 weeks. But it takes away from the things the puppy needs to learn from its litter mates and momma. Plus causes problems later on for the new owner.

Oh I understand now. I thought you were saying you give them away at 3 weeks. I am glad you do not.

I would rather wait 8 weeks. It also gives me time with them before we have to part. I can make sure they get a very healthy start. I have taken pictures that I will put up here today!

I meant mine had 3 weeks left to be weaned, to go. I just love everyone them.If I had a farm , then I would keep them all. If I were in the country or had a huge place. Appreciate your response !

I could never do what you do, because I could never give them away. It makes me sad. I took care of a bunch of kittens once and I kept one and gave one to my mom. I couldn't give them away. So I try not to take care of kittens anymore. : )

It is hard. My dog will not be having anymore so this will be the only time. I love them all too. Yes, its hard to part with them but I am picky and they are going to very good homes.
