Give what you want and sure you will get more what you have given

I believe that it is a great principle to live by. I myself practise it. I regularly give away to charity. But this year, I have not done so and I do feel bad about it and I do notice that there was little opportunity for me or the ones that I go for turn out to be scams or somethign like that. So I decided to give away soem things this month. It's not money for charity though, but I started giving away small things I have no use for at home. I gave away sample packets of milk, used bedsheets and even coupons I don't need. I posted them up at Freecycle and many grabbed them. Interestingly, I had a wonderful opportunity taht came by. I had a writing assignment. For months, i have been doing nothing concrete, except trying to make money online, which is a lot of hard work. But I guess the small things we do or give away, it will come back many fold. Try it.

It is well said. But without these words or even any expectations, i helped many friends. but very less of them helped me in hour of need. so now I am careful.

Yor are right when you say its an old saying as in today's world it dosnt work that way. People are more intrested in taking than in giving. So for me this saying does not work as people have become more and more shelfish.
