I ,as a chinese,am very proud of the 2008 Omlypic Games held in china not long before. I believe that most people who have watched the Opening Ceremony must be very exciting and dazzling. Through these games, the world learned more about china, and china learned more about the world. We shared the athlete's joys and tears. China has showed the world the best performance. how do you think about china and chinese people before the 2008 Omlypic Games? now what do you thing of?

I don't know much about Chinese people. Asian girls are always really friendly, asian guys seem kinda rude, kinda snobbish sometimes. But I like Chinese people. Alot of people don't like the government, but they still like the people.

there are lots of abuse in the system of the government. with a rapid economic development from 1980, chinese legal framework is not well equipped. many officals make use of the hole to do some unreasonable work. A few confused, but chinese are friendly and love peaceful.

yep there's corruption in governments all over the world. People must never judge a country by its government. Even in a democratic society where people have the freedom to choose what they want its still the government that makes the rules. But yeah chinese people are great. Interesting culture, very well mannered.

My mother is half blooded Chinese and all I know of them is that they are good businessmen and treasures family ties. There are plenty of traditions and cultural inheritance that the world got from the Chinese people. they are very influencial and until now, China plays a very big influence in the world's economy. Attitude wise, I salute them for their enthusiasm in business and for the value they give to their country. Chinese for one are very nationalistic.

I,as a chinese youth,am pround of my motherland, although there r somethings not good and not pleased with some people. Talking the Beijing Olympics in 2008 summer, its really wonderful and impressed for most of people, and Zhangyimou give world people a almost perfect stage view. But we r common people like other country's people,we also make mistake not because our nationality but we r human. Our earth, everyone's land, try their best to improve themselves, the same to us chinese people. The key point is not blunder, but the attitude to the mistake. We chinese will be a resposible country,do our best to develope with all the world.

Chinese are tall, white skinned people, has a small eyes. I don't know what is their personality, how do they entertain guest, foreigner and I don't know their culture. But I know they are good, and they are known because of the amazing structures they have made. The Casino in Macao, someday I want to go there, I never been in China. I think health is not their priority, because of the melamine issue, and aside from that, the lead content that was found in toys and other products. But I think they can stand on their own feet without the help from USA.

I've always admired the chinese for their work ethics. My son married a Chinese American girl. And while their marriage created two beautiful grandaughters for me to love, their marriage did not work. Sadly, my ex daughter in law seems to have very few morals, and only thinks of herself. Even her own parents don't know what to do with her anymore. It must have been something in their upbringing, because her brother and sister are the same way. Thankfully my son is a great father and has the children most of the time now. So while I may admire the older generation of chinese, the younger ones these days aren't impressing me too much here.

China is peaceful country, China's fast development does impress people who comes for a visit, but that's not the best China has to offer, the best is its rich culture heritage which though could be seen now and then in the the way Chinese people live their lives, but mainly, shame to say, has to be found in its voluminous ancient works. keep posting.. take care and have fun..

Excellent performance by chinese and i am proud that i have many friends from china... It doesn't matter how much effort the people make to entertain others but it is only their hearts that are fill with purity of 24carat gold which makes many to think once in a million of chinese effort of olympics...They have nicely utilized the population for excellent performances and entertained all over the world hope....the olympics should come often in china

Han Hao. I have always be an admirer of the Chinese. I was studying Chinese many years ago but hardly remember anything. China is a great country with a chequered history. i am amazed by China's sudden rise since the mid 60s and 70s. It has progressed very rapidly. I hope to visit China some day.

I think China is heading to be the greatest Superpower one day because it has learned the lessons from the fall of the Soviet Union which has resulted in those countries becoming even poorer than before by trying to change too abruptly from Communism. It is obvious that China is heading toward a capitalist system very slowly but steadily with the main focus being to ensure that their people come first. I think that the Chinese believe that only if their people are content and happy that they will contribute unconditionally in making their country become successful. In spite of the largest population in the world, these people are very industrious and hard working with an objective in their minds to make that ultimate goal of becoming the greatest superpower, a reality. The transformation over the past years from a closed Communist system to an open Economic system is paying off to this country's benefit. I think people in the West should take an exapmle from China that people come first.

I must begin my saying that I am Chinese, though I am no staying in China. In fact, I believe I am the third generation in my country. I must say that the Chinese are rather far off from the Europeans and the Americans. Not in terms of wealth, but in terms of social well being. Many many rude habits still die heart in the Chinese people of China. Perhaps, once the new generation takes over, we will have a more advanced, educated population of China people. Regarding the Olympics, yeah the Chinese did a good job hosting it, though it did show many issues surfacing. It showed the international community the many problems which are plaguing the country. I believe the Chinese will do a great job in the future. I hope to work this new land of opportunities :)

I'm part Chinese...grew up on the food. and I thought the opening ceremonies were really nice. my son loved it watching it with me and of course lost interest in the parade of countries thing which is always pretty boring. i don't think china is bad, i would love to visit there one day. but you should always be proud of your country.

I'm happy to know that you are a Chinese, too. As soon as I saw the topics,I choose this one.I'm a Chinese. Before the 2008 Omlypic Games,Chinese people work very hard at every walk of life,Chins is a developing country, and the steps are very fast.We act with one heart and one mind.We want to show the world that we are a united country,a harmonious nationality. We are getting stronger and stronger. The 2008 Omlypic Games is attractive. All of our Chinese are proud of it.It is very successful. And our economy is developing faster and faster. So we should go on working step by step and make our country more and more beautiful.

I personally think the same way of china and chinese people. I have never had any problem with the country or the people before the olympics and I dont have any problems with all of them now. I know that they are just like anyone else and should be respected. It does give me enjoyment to learn new things about cultures other than my own.

I agree with ReHotPogo, alot of the men are rude. Iv always been kinda intrigued by Chinese culture, always been attracted to Chinese and Asian women (WOW:)! U can thank Bruce Lee for that one..lol! Well as far as the Government, Iv heard they were pretty tough, but the Olympic games proved that! Man, it's rough out there, but what country isn't, there rough on success, we're rough on finance..lol! Taripre$

Hi peteryu12, i myself am a chinese but i do not live in china. I am proud of chinese and in my opinion most chinese from china are quite friendly although there are certainly some bad ones that drag down their reputation. China had definitely done great in 2008 olympic games and i would say its the best olympics opening every held. cheers!

Hi, Since you asked, before the olympic games i thought that chinse people were bad at driving and depth perseption. now after the olympic games i think that they are heartless too. they flattend thousands of peoples homes and left them homeless just so tey could build the birdsnest and all the other olympic related buildings just for 2 weeks of games. thousands of homeless for 2 weeks. that seems pritty heartless to me. im sorry but i just dont think that they think before they di things
