For two years, I have this obsession with phones, but half of this year, I realized that the very essence of the existence of my phone is my text and calls usage. I need not to have a wifi ready phone because I am more comfortable checking my mails and updates on the net through my laptop. Thus, I decided to buy a dual sim phone since I have two sims (and to spare me from carrying to cellphones). And I chose a simpler phone so that I do not have to complicate myself.

I see that many of the fellow lotters here prefer a simpler cell phone just like me. Most probably most of us use our cell phones for just text and calls. Personally, in my opinion, as technology advances nowadays, cell phones manufacturers focus more on the complex interface hence the quality of the cellphone is decreasing which in result causing the cell phone to have more problems than the past.

For me i'm content enough with a simple phone but additional features can become useful once you start using them and realise their convenience. Also it's nice to have them as backup in case someone request say a quick picture of a place or object.

definitely a simple phone... for me, a mobile phone main purpose is to make and receive phone calls and sms... that's about it... as long as the phone serves that purpose, i am happy... take care and have a nice day...

I do not mind having a phone with multiple functions at all - and the phone i'm using now has many features. just because a phone has many features doesn't mean that u have to use them all. i, for one, use my phone simplistically, mainly only to make/receive calls and sms. it's nice to know that if i wanted to, for example, access the internet or listen to music when i'm outside, everything is right there on my phone, which u usually keep beside u at all times. it's really convenient. Plus, it's important to keep up with technology. also, these days, are there still phones that only provide sms and calling functions? if so, would u even dare take it out in public? ;)

I would prefer a simple one as what I can see from my daily usage is only receiving, making calls and sms only. So to get a complicated one will do me no good and it is expensive too.

I now have two cellphone. One is quite simple, can only make phone call and send short messages. The other one is with many functions, like watching movies, visiting websites, chatting with other peoples online and so on. But most of the time, I only take the simple one with me, espeially during the working hours, for using it can avoid many problems, and the way to use it is quite easy and few mistakes. I now put the complicated one on my bed, so if I can not fall alseep easily in the night, I will use the phone to find something good for my sleep, like music and songs.

I prefer a simple cell phone. Although my cell phone can do all the complicated stuff, I would have the pay teh phone company to be able to send MMS to others or surf the net with teh phone and it can add to my phone bills. So I leave pics and surfing when I'm on the computer. I'm just pleased with sending text messages and make phone calls

I prefer a cell phone that is simple or at least one I am comfortable using and not afraid that it is in my pocket or purse.

Hello swarovski87 I do prefer a less complicated phone. I just want to make calls, answer calls, take photos and be able to text and that's it really.

What with technology always being improved nowadays and finding myself behind the times if I don't have the latest gadget or gizmo I often feel the need to have a really complicated phone. I mean I know many would argue with me saying a phones a phone and that's what it's sole purpose is but you can't really fall behind with the times now. Remember throughout my schooling up until the age of eleven computers weren't that advanced then in 1997 the internet took off and within the next eleven years you'd be stuck if you didn't have a computer. My opinion to phones is similar to my opinions to this. Phones are getting improved all the time. I only bought my phone last year and it is so dated already. The only thing I will say about a complicated phone is the fact there's more to break and more to go wrong with it.

Hello there! I prefer simple phones. My life does not technically revolve around cell phones so ya, a simple one would do. Mostly, all I need is the phone-call-making and sms-typing functionality and I am good to go. On the plus site, complicated phones tend to be more expensive too. I just don't have the money to afford them. I would rather spend them on other necessities in life. Cheers! Have a nice day :)

First of all, I am in complete disagreement with you about how you defined a phone as simple or complicated. I don't think that just because your phone has too many new features like MMS, internet etc it's a complicated phone. The user interface is what makes a phone simple or complicated. And, when I want a phone, I would like one with all the features I need with a nice design and affordable price tag.
