I'm not getting email notifications from myLot!

Yup! I starting this discussion to alert all my friends about my current situation. I have not received email notifications from myLot for a last two weeks or so. This is truly trustrating for me because I want to be notified when I have new responders to my discussion. But I'm more concerned about discussions I have responded to. The poster may have asked for some help from me but I won't have responded because there was no email notification about it. I must apologise to these people who may be awaiting my reply. If you have noticed that I have not responded to a question you asked, please send me a PM. It's easier for me that way.
I have sent a message to myLot admin and they are looking into the matter and it is still not resolved. Are you facing the same problem? I'm I the only isolated case. If you had this problem in the past, how did you manage to resolve it. I'm desperate! Help!

I know, it's causing such problems for me. I have sent a message to admin, but they have not come back to me with a solution. I hope they can fix it soon.

They did respond twice via my PM here. I would have noticed a new message when i log in. But nothing concrete. The last message I asked them whether I should change email add, they have not gotten back to me yet.

Make sure that your email does not capture mylot emails as spam. make sure that your friends notify list is put on. I hope that you sort out this problem quick. © ronaldinu 2008

I went thorugh my spam list and none of mylot emails are there listed as spam. I have not even touched my settings since I joined mylot, so they are on all the time. I'm so sad this is happening. i hope it gets resolved real soon or I'm going to be missing on a lot of gossips...

I have faced the problem as well. I do receive notifications. But they are much lesser now. Much much lesser than I anticipated.
Have the admins gotten back to you? Did they manage to resolve the problem?

I too still do not receive some notifications from friends.
So, I pick a few to add to my short list where I visit their profile on a regular basis to look for updates.
You cannot imagine how many threads I am missing from these friends.
Will add you to my list and try to visit your profile as often as I can for updates.

Hi ah gong,
I'm afraid the admin has not fully resolved the prob. I'm still not getting notification for responses on discussions which frustrates me big time. I only get one if I get best response. That's all! I have given up on them. So if I don't respond to a question on your discussion, please give me a nudge on PM. I always check that when I log on. Thanks!

Is that true?I've rec'd the notifications from mylot this morning when I opened my email as usual.It'll be better to be answered by the admin of mylot~Is the problem of your email box?the setting?or the capacity of your email?As for yahoo mail,I have experienced several times of stopping receiving email coz of out of capacity~`just try this~`good luck`

It could be my email or something, I'm using Yahoo! You can have unlimited email at Yahoo! Will check setting at Yahoo mail. This is frustrating trying to troubleshoot this prob myself!

My preferences have not changed, rocket! I have checked. I don;t know if I need to redirect my messages to a diff email add. That would be cumbersome. I will have to open two emails every day. I know I track my responses on my profile page, but know the number of responses we make in a day can amount to 20-30 or even more, it's going to take a lot of time sieving through them. I just can't spare the time. By the time I do that, my daughter would be awake from her nap.

It never happened to me per say, but I have noticed quite a bit of my regular email messages from other sites has been going to my spam on Yahoo! Not sure if uv been checking bulk or spam, but that may be the case!

I have been checking my spam folder often, just in case any of the emails there are not spam. I even went thorugh the entire list of spam addresses just to make sure that mylot is not in that list. Was happy to see a mylot digest notification, but nothing much else. I hope they are coming in soon. Can't wait!

It has happened to me in the past but eventually was resolved. Think it was a glitch in the myLot program itself. Have you double checked to make sure you are still signed up to get the email notifications? My problem never lasted long but it has happened several times over the last couple of years. It may only be for a few hours or a day. Hope you get this problem resolved.

Last couple of year! I didn;t realise you are here that long Carol! Anyway, I will check yet again if I have signed up for email notifications and all my settings are correct, just to be sure. Your prob never lasted that long. Oh no! I'm getting worried.

i've had this similiar problem like you do...
at first i think it got caught on the spam , but when i checkin there ...i'ant found any from mylot...
as for contacting the admin, i to lazy to do it...
as for now, i only arrange and manage it on my bookmark list...and i find it easier for me, than i've always check for new emails,
now i can respond more efficiently than before and more confeniently i guess..

It is cumbersome to have to find another way to overcome this problem. I know that I can check my profile for all the discussions I have responded to, but that's not the most efficient use of my limited time her in mylot. As such, I have let it be for a while until teh problem is resolved. Bookmarking is an idea, but I'm just too lazy. Maybe I would do that for those discussions I would like to follow up on. Thank you for your response!

Yes, I've had this problem for a while. I only get notifications from a couple of my friends on here, even though I've enabled notifications for all of them. I know that other people have been having similar problems, but I wasn't sure whether anyone had reported the problem to myLot before. Now I just go into myLot now and look at the Friendsstarted tab. It's a bit annoying though. Hope myLot can fix the problem.

Have you tried contacting admin? I did and I think they are looking into it. So far, I have received mylot digest and new friend req in my mail, which is good news. I hope teh rest will follow suit.

Sad to say that I still have not received much email notifications. I only received mylot digest, best response and friend request, but none on response to discussions! I know that I have to sieve my inbox when I get all the notifications, but I'm not getting any now. It's very frustrating!

Hi sydney, I have heard others have had this problem
in the past few weeks so you are not alone. I have
had problems sending pm's since I started here 4 months
ago and have told mylot I don't know how many times.
Every time I get a pm I feel bad because I can't send
back a message. It is very frustrating for me because
the person that sends me a pm thinks that I don't want
to answer. I just can't get mylot to fix it. I hope that
you have better luck than I did. Keep after them and
hopefully they will fix it.

Hi Opal, I think your prob is equally frustrating. My friends may think that I would not want to answer to their queries if they put it up after I have posted my response. Today I receive a mylot digest and a friend request notification. i hope the rest will follow suit soon. I need the other notification such as if there was a respond to my discussions or comment on responses I made in otehr people's discussions. I'm crossing my fingers and toes.

So far I haven't had any problems receiving my notifications from mylot, sorry to read that your having this problem maybe you should try to contact mylot and inform them of your problem and they might be able to help you straighten it out for you.

I have contacted mylto admin about it and I think they are looking into the matter. As of today, I received a mylot digest and a new friend request notification, I think they are coming in pretty soon. Thank you for your response!

Sometimes the responses come in spam folder. I would also suggest you to check ur settings in myLot,probably the settings must have been changed like that. If that's not the case,u said u have mailed ur problem rite??So don't worry things will be fine. All the best

I have checked my entire list of spam addresses and none from mylot are there. I have also checked my settings, they have not been changed lately. I even ticked everything just to see if I would be able to receive anythign at all. Today I received mylot digest notification, hopefully the rest wiull come in too.
