Fiends behind the wheel

Ever thought of how strange people can sometimes be. You meet nice people all the time; genial, happy, courteous, simple, kind. You chat with them, get to know them and then feel that the human race is really quite fantastic with such a lot of wonderful people around. And then what happens? You put these same people behind a wheel, a steering wheel I mean, and alooo something happens. All of a sudden they change and all out of recognition. The nice guy, that sweet doll becomes something alien to this planet, almost fiends. And there is no explaining how or why this takes place.
If you haven't noticed, then sit up and start watching men and women behind the wheel. It can be a most interesting study of human behaviour. It's hard to believe that a collection of machinery and metal that go to make a chassis are capable of producing some of the most unbecoming, untoward and sometimes monstrous reactions ever seen.
Like I was driving, minding my business when this chap who at a junction has to halt at the white line because drivers of the other road has right of way, suddenly decides he's just going ahead. I have a suspicion he wouldn't have done it if the driver had been a man instead of a woman at the wheel! Only suspicion, but some men can't stand a woman at the wheel let alone be behind them on the road and the sight of just any woman driver brings out the worst in them So he buldozes himself ahead. I brake so hard that my car stalls on the incline at that point. He then stares at me, whizzes past with a look of elation and personal victory that often settle on faces of people like him; people who don't think anybody else matters except themselves. Of course it's nothing to go hot about. Why waste energy?
Why do people become hostile, arrogant and suddenly develop an exaggerated sense of their own importance and what's worse become even vicious when they get behind a steering wheel?

I just dont know why but men always seem to do what they arent suppose to do behind the wheel.
The other day my son in laws brother got mad at a lady for stopping at a yellow light!
some went around her and got thru the light and a truck amost hit her setting there. WEll I think ya really are surpoes to stop unless it as just turn as you are going thru it and if you dont have time ya stop I think the lady was right and if the truck almost hit her he was going to fast coming up on the yellow lihght!
Men really dont think !

I laughed when I read this. I don't know why but some of the mildest mannered people I know change the most. My sister normally would never get angry or use bad language and she's considerate of others, yet going anywhere in a car with her is a nightmare! The odd thing is she doesn't even realise how bad she is!
My hubby is a professional driver (Coaches and buses) and some of the things he's seen are frightening! I'm amazed there aren't even more accidents on our roads!
Is favourite expression is, "I hate women drivers ..... of both sexes!!"

Every insurance company would disagree with you! The percentage of women claimants for the numbers that drive is a lot lower than for male drivers.
That's why the companies offer lower rates for women drivers (as long as there are no men on the policy lol)
